| Clash is the first official CD released by Scarlet Road. The guitar rifs and vocal melodies are reminiscent of some U2 sounds. It is clearly the album of a young songwriter/singer/guitarist coming into his owh. A must have, helps to truly appreciate God Candy. Standout songs are "Unlucky", which was written about JJ's GH character Lucky, and Lucky's relationship with his half-brother Nikolas. "Rise" is a strong, beautiful song that was performed both at SSW 98 and the Portland Oregon HOPE concert. "Bleak Sunrise" is a soaring guitar based instrumental with some powerful playing. The ghost track is a must listen...well worth the wait. |
