Episode no 39
A new schoolyear starts , and the gang is doing their HSC this year .
But they are still missing Nick , since he died during the fight . Especially Jodie doesn't know what to do , one moment she thinks of running away ,
and the other moment , she thinks it's best to forget Nick by going back to school and seeing her friends again .
A new student , Matt Logan is joining the senior class , and what's more , Deloraine is his uncle ! Matt's parents hope Deloraine will
keep an eye on him , because he was already expelled from several other schools .
Deloraine added a new optional "media"course for the senior students , and he assigned a new teacher , Vic , to teach this course .
First , most of the students think it's a waste of time to do such a course , but Con explains them they should be happy to get easy marks with the course .
The first lessons include making a video , and Vic assigns Matt to be the interviewer .
But when Matt starts asking the class questions , he finds out they only can talk about Nick Poulos , and they keep telling him what a great guy he was .
Matt feels bad about it , but he feels like they all blame him for asking those questions about Nick to them , so they are all upset by now .
Jodie ran away from school to the playground where Nick always went with Effie . When Matt finds out , he goes there in Deloraines' car , and he tries to explain
to her that he's sorry about the interviews in class , but that she must go on with her life .
Finally , Jodie decides to do an interview about Nick also , on the beach , where she can forget about school .
She tells Matt that she was madly in love with Nick , and that their relationship also had their "ups and downs" ,
but she knew they had something special together . About his death , she tells Matt that nobody is to blame for it ,
for not stopping the fight , because he didn't die from the boxing , but that he had an aneurysm in his brains , so he could
have died anytime . At the end , Southgate walks into the classroom , and he wants to have his say about Nick too .
He tells the class that Nick probably knew something was wrong with him , but he finally found his aim in life in boxing , to
proove himself he's a winner . And that's the attitude every student should have in life , and that's why Nick Poulos will always be remembered .
Episode no 40
The "Hartley Highflyers" basketball team is training for a school tournament . But the team spirit is far from good ,
and the group with Matt , Con & Steve looses against Rivers & Bolton . Then Deloraine causes even more trouble by
organising a basket game at Hartley High against Pointers Grammar School , so the boys quickly will have to form a
good team and find a coach ! When Deloraine asks his staff about it , nobody wants to volunteer , so he has to pick out Yola
to do the job . She doesn't understand a thing about basketball , so she'll have to learn all the rules by the book !
The boys aren't pleased with her as their coach , and they are desperately looking for someone else .
They ask Vic Morris , the new teacher , but for some mysterious reason he doesn't want to coach them .
Then Steve finds an article about Vic , with a picture of Vic as a star basket player . They ask Vic about it ,
but he keeps refusing the job , even when Deloraine asks him . In media class , the boys aren't paying attention ,
and they get kicked out by Vic .
Meanwhile , Rose has come to school with Tess , because her babysitter is ill . She tries to hide the baby though , and
the others help her with that , but soon the truth comes out and she has to see Deloraine . He thinks it's best for Tess to find her
a day nursery , and Rose promises she'll look for one .
Lucy thinks she's finally ready to sleep with Steve , but she doesn't know how to make this clear to him , so she will ask Con about it .
That evening , Dani , Lucy , Con & Steve are babysitting in the warehouse for Tess ,
so Rose & Jack could go out sometime. When Steve has to go shopping to find some nappies , Lucy asks Con about the seduction part .
He soon finds out though that Lucy wants to seduce Steve , not him , like he thought before !
When Steve finds out , he's angry ,but Con explains to him she only wants to seduce him , and she wanted advice .
The boys return to media class , and they apologize to Vic . He explains then why he didn't want to coach them ; the last team he coached
had a car accident after a victory , and he wanted to forget basketball since then . But now , he thinks he still can coach them ,
and he asks them if they're ready for the game . Rivers finally wants to join the team too , and because they can use good players , Steve
let's him & Bolton join the team . Now they can get ready for the game ! Go Hartley !
Episode no 41
Vic wants to learn his basketteam some more team spirit , and he gets an idea when he sees the girls play .
So he organises a game after school , the boys against the girls . And the boys loose , because they played individually
as usual . Then the team is falling apart : Bolton & Rivers want to join another team , and Con doesn't feel like playing in the
same team as Matt neither . Con's grandmother "Yaya" is visiting the Bordinos , and she decided to stay in Australia and move it with them .
Con is happy about her being there , but when he finds out that she's actually moving in an appartment , he wants some
explanation . Then Yaya finds out that Con and Matt are fighting all the time , because Con wants to protect Jodie ;
he thinks Matt should stay away from her , it's like he's insulting Nick . But when Yaya visits Con at school , Matt is very friendly to her ,
and she thinks he and Con could be great friends .
Jodie talks to Matt about the whole thing , and she says that they maybe could start a relationship when he and Con would stop fighting ,
because Con is her friend too and she doesn't want to hurt him .
Lucy's mother is away for 3 days , and she thinks now is a good moment to sleep with Steve for the first time , and so they do .
The next day , Vic has got another plan to stimulate the team , again with the help of the girls . They all should make the boys clear that they hate loosers ,
and if they give up so fast , they'll always be remembered as the ones who were beaten by the girls . And the plan's working ,
because the boys get ready to play another game against some serious opponents . But thanks to their teamwork , they win the game , and
now they think they can beat everybody !
Finaly , Yaya has invited the Bordinos and Matt for dinner in her new appartment , and Con sorts things out with Matt .
Episode no 42
Steve has slept with Lucy , and they're both happy about it .But now Lucy wants to take it slow , she's not sure if it's safe doing it without condoms ,
not knowing with who Steve already slept with . Steve is sure that he was Danielle's first , but after asking her , Danielle admits there was just one guy before him .
Steve now wants to do an Aids-test , so they can be sure and he doesn't want to give the disease to Lucy if the result turns out to be positive .
Lucy from her side , admits also she hasn't been to safe with her ex , who was also doing hard drugs at a time . But after doing the test , the results are negative ,
and they are so happy they want to sleep with each other from the moment they get home .
Rivers thinks he can impress a girl who works in the local grocery shop . He therefore brings Tess with him , to show the girl he's good at looking after a baby .
But the next day , the girl , in stead of asking him out , asks him if he isn't interested in babysitting her baby , when she and her husband go out on Friday !
Rivers quickly tells her he has got a police record and he runs away .
Vic is giving the kids an assignment for the media course , to make their own report . Danielle will do the interviewing , Con the filming and Matt the sound .
After some interviews with the class , they want to interview the police , at the office . There they get kicked out , and the police is pressing charges to the school .
Deloraine is furious and wants to cancel the whole media course , but Vic asks him just for one more chance .
To explain the whole thing , Joe , the policeman ,comes to Hartley to answer all the questions the kids have .
After that , they still ask Joe to do a new interview , and he agrees . And so , Danielle , Con & Matt wait in the policecar to do a new proper interview with Joe and agent Kelly .
But during the interview , suddenly a car with the two drugdealers the police was looking for passes , and they're able to stop the car and arrest the criminals .
The kids think the video coudn't be better now , with all the action , but it appears that Joe now will have to explain himself to his superior for irresponsible behaviour .
The criminals were armed , and the kids could get hurt . But finally , the media gets involved and thinks the Hartley video is the best ever made , and Deloraine comes to congratulate
them all !
Episode no 43
The Hartley Highflyers Basketball team is preparing for the big final game against Glover . Vic , as coach , knows his players will
have a difficult match and he selects only the best players . Matt also included , but the others think Matt is too small to play in front , and they vote for another player .
Matt leaves the team , and outside school , he bets with some guys of Glover he drives faster in Con's car than they can .
Just before they want to race , Vic arrives and is able to stop him. He explains Matt he's just a looser when he runs off like that , and he still has a chance to be on the team if he wants to .
At school , Rivers falls on the floor during training and hurts his ancle . Now Matt still can be on the team , but they will start the match with another player first .
Danielle is very busy making a nice report work with all the interviews , and wants to interview Vic about his lovelife . He agrees , and she asks him some private questions ,
which he kindly answers . Because Steve was filming the interview ,she wants to do a second interview with Vic , alone !
She lies to Vic that the tape of his first interview was overwritten , and he agrees in doing the interview again.
But after showing Danielle some mixing tricks in the studio , he finds the tape of his interview and explains to Danielle that she better has to think about something before doing it .
Steve and Lucy think they never are left alone at the warehouse , and always disturbed too much by the others .
Jodie wants to stay at the Shark Pool if Steve wants to have some privacy , but Rivers will be more difficult to keep away .
The big final begins , and the two teams seem to play equally good . But the Glover boys start to play dirty and Con starts a fight against an opponent , after
being kicked several times . The referee puts Con out of the field , and Matt has to play now . He scores for Hartley just before the end of the game , and the
Hartley Highflyers win the final ! Everybody is excited and Matt is now the big hero on the team !
Vic tells the boys how proud he is , but he announces them he has to leave them to go back to his old school in the country , where they need him the most .
Especially Danielle is feeling sad about it , but Vic tells her what a talented girl she is , that she'll do just fine on her own , and then he leaves Hartley High .

Danielle's father is visiting her mother Suzy again , but after they broke up , she still doesn't want to hear from him .
He wants to convince Suzy to come back by buying a new boat at naming it "The Suzy" .
Nicole , Danielle's sister , wants to bring both parents together though , and arranges a date for them .
But Suzy doesn't want to go out with him , and after she met Southgate in the gym club she works in , she agrees to go on a date with Southgate .
Danielle saw it coming , because Southgate had never been nicer to her at school before , but Nicole still thought her mum was going to see her dad .
Rivers'18.birthday is coming up , and because he had never had a party before , his friends want to organise a surprise party .
All the arrangements for the party are not so easy to discuss at the warehouse because Peter is practicly always there !
And Peter soon finds out there must be something going on , because everybody is doing so weirth and they stop talking when he arrives .
When they even ask him to move his car out of the warehouse , because it takes too much space , he drives away in a bad mood .
Later on , when he wants to take another drive with his car , the car seems to be stolen , and Peter is furious and goes to the police .
After they kissed each other at the beach , Con & Rose are avoiding each other at school . Con wants to be with Rose , but Rose more wants to be just friends with him .
Con wants to help Rose with shopping , and in the shop Rose likes some baby clothes for Tess she actually can't afford .
Con gets an idea by seeing there's a baby photo competition , and he takes some pictures of Tess at home .
Later on , he wins the competition and Rose can now buy the clothes she always wanted for Tess !
Southgate and Suzy arrive at the harbour , and they have a very romantic evening together .
Danielle tells Nicole she'd better tell her father the whole story , and so Nicole arrives at the boat where her father is still waiting for Suzy .
After having heard the bad news , he decides to take out his daughter for dinner .
Rivers gets home , and sees the lights are all out at the warehouse . When he enters , everybody shouts "surprise" and the party can begin .
He gets his birthday cake , and also a huge present : Bolton drives in his car , which is new painted and with one full year of registration !
Episode no 46
Bill Southgate is still seeing Danielle's mother , and especially Nicole has got problems with that .
At school , she writes down "adulterer" on the blackboard in Southgate's class , and after having a chat with him , she goes to Deloraine
and tells about the affaire between Southgate and her mother . Also , Dani's father hasn't given up hope to win back his wife again and is making a real effort
out of it to get her back . He also talks to Southgate to stay away from his wife . Bill goes to Suzy and tells her he'd better transfer schools before causing more trouble ,
but she thinks that's a bit radical .
Con wants to go out with Rose , and he asks his mum to babysit Tess that evening . She agrees , and so Con & Rose have a romantic dinner at the Shark Pool together .
But Rose can't read the menu , and Con noticed before that her eyesight isn't good . So Con proposes to get a pair of glasses , and first , Rose doesn't agree because she'll look like
a nurd , but then when Con tells her she looks sophisticated & sexy with her glasses on , she wants to keep her glasses .
Rivers is complaining to Matt who doesn't pay the rent at the warehouse , and Matt has to look for a job in order to stay at the warehouse .
Matt asks Con for a job , and he gets a job at the Shark Pool . But there , at the second day Matt & Jody arrive too late at work because Rivers'car broke down .
Because they couldn't drive any further , Jody and Matt were alone , and Matt tried to kiss Jody . But Jody is still afraid that when she gets a relationship with Matt ,
the same thing would happen with him like it happened to Nick .
Con is angry that they arrive too late , and when Matt almost starts a fight with a customer who was trying to make a move on Jody , Matt gets sacked .
Deloraine is glad to hear that Matt will now come back home , because there Matt musn't pay rent after all .
Suzy visits Southgate at school , and she tells him that she has to give her marriage a second change , and they have to stop seeing each other .
Southgate thinks she made the right choice , because he would have done the same thing for his marriage .
Danielle feels a bit sorry for Southgate , and she and her sister see that he really loved their mum . But life goes on and Southgate goes back
to work , and he also takes out Yola for dinner after she asked him .

Jodie's sister Karen visits the gang at the warehouse , and she immediately draws Matt's attention , which Jodie doesn't like of course .
But Jodie still doesn't know what she feels for Matt yet , so she can't forbid her sister to stay away from Matt .
Meanwhile Rose's baby "Tess" became ill , and Con had to drive Rose & her baby to the hospital . There they immediately take Tess
to the emergency department , and they have to give her oxygene in order to help her breathe again . Con phones the others about the whole thing ,
and so the others , including Jack ,arrive at the hospital . Yola is also there , but only because she's pregnant too , and she wanted to do some
tests to be certain about it . When she sees how awful Rose feels , she gets second chances about having her baby and she tells Joe she's not ready to have
a baby . Joe doesn't understand at first , and they argue about it the whole evening .
The next day , Tess is again back to normal , and things seem to be work out again between Jack & Rose .
Con doesn't like that , now that Rose & him were almost a couple . But he sees that Tess needs her real father , and he only stands in the way of the "happy" family .
Jodie's sister wants to go the beach with the boys , and Jodie comes too , to "look after" Matt . There , she finds out how her sister tries to seduce Matt all the time , and she leaves the beach .
Back at school , Matt asks Jodie if he could go out with Karen , just at the moment where Jodie was supposed to ask Matt out !
She's so angry she tells him he's old enough to decide that himself , and she runs away .
After spending the night with Yola , Joe finds out that Yola changed her mind and wants to have her baby .
He goes to work , and there he has to go investigate a burglary . At an old warehouse , he gets shot by the burglar , and he dies .
Southgate has to tell Yola the sad news , and she can't believe it , and she bursts out in tears . The kids also can't believe it , and think about the baby who now
will be born without ever seeing his father .
But the show ends happily , with the fact that Jack asks Rose to marry her !
Episode no 49
Norm , Rivers' father has escaped from prison . Peter reads it in the newspaper and knows his dad will come to visit him .
At school , Southgate warns Peter to be careful if his father arrives , because the cops won't be far away .
At the warehouse , the cops do a search after Norm , but unsuccesful of course . The next day though , Norm visits his son at the warehouse ,
and asks him if he could stay there for a while . Rivers tries to hide his father for the others , but soon they find him . Rivers now tells the others it's his uncle ,
and Norm himself explains to them why he had to escape from prison .
Jodie'sister Karen is still staying at the warehouse , but finds out Peter & Steve aren't so happy with her around , after all she doesn't pay the rent .
So she decides to go to the Bordinos , where she kindly convinces Con she can stay in his room for a while .
Roberto and Helen are surprised the next morning to see Karen there , and Helen asks Con for an explanation .
He can talk himself out of it as usual , and Karen convinces Roberto to let her stay . But the next day , Karen took the pick-up to bring Jodie her lunch at school ,
and later on she picked up a hitch-hiker she eventually falls in love with .
The Bordinos are pleased to hear she will leave with her new boyfriend and do a geology course somewhere far from the city .
Norm decides to leave for Queensland , and Rivers wants to go with him . But he makes his son clear that's too dangerous , and he leaves
alone . Finally Matt and Jody are together , and Karen wishes them both much luck with each other .

Matt and Jodi are having a little problem: Steve wants to take "artistic" photographs of Jodi for his term-project. Matt does not want her to pose for such photos and that is exactly why she agrees to do it. Both Con and Matt are very curious about these pictures. Con wants to make calendars and sell them. Finally the pictures are ready and they find out that Steve just took pics of Jodi's knee, her feet etc. Very "artistic". Matt realizes that he did not trust Jodi enough, so they make up again.
Episode no 55
Steve gets a parcel from his mother. She sends him a self-knitted pullover. When he goes to see her, he meets a girl wearing the same pullover. She turns out to be his half-sister Allie. His mother is not happy to see him. Not only hasn't she told him about Allie but Allie doesn't know about him either, she even starts flirting with him. Steve can't take it so he tells Allie that she is his sister. She is angry at him at first, but the next morning she waits for him in front of the school to tell him that she does not hate him.
In the afternoon they go to the beach. There they meet Matt, Jody and Dani. Jodi has promised Matt to try to learn surfing (he thinks they should have at least something in common). But Jodi is not very good at it so she gives up after a couple of tries and they start an argument, but finally agree to stick to their individual hobbies. Allie wants to borrow Matt's board. She is quite a good surfer, but when a guy kicks her off the board she hurts her arm. They take her to hospital in Peter's car, which Matt has taken without asking him. In front of the hospital the car gets stolen. Peter is furious and drags Matt to the police station.The police officer does not believe they will find it. However, they do, just without tyres. Peter makes Matt pay for new ones. Loraine (Steve's mother) is very upset that Allie is hurt and she tells her not to see Steve anymore, but in the end Allie and she go to the warehouse and Loraine apologizes.
Episode no 56
Deloraine promises Matt that he can have his car for the weekend if he scores over 90. This makes Matt and Jodi study hard, too. Peter also wants to score high to prove that he is not stupid and not a Cro-Magnon. So he asks Allie who is good at science to help him in return for the driving lessons he is giving her. However, Steve thinks that there is something going on between them. So he interrupts them while they are geeking out for school and feels quite stupid after discovering the truth. Only Con and Kat think it's nerdy to study for the midterms. Helen, however, expects them to score well because they are pretending to be studying hard. Roberto discovers the truth and tells Con that his Mom will be very disappointed if his grades aren't good and so Con starts studying, too.
The day of the midterms arrives and the students sit at their science test, when suddenly Dani gets up and walks out like a sleepwalker and gets hit by a car. Sam blames Andrew for this accident and is convinced that his way of teaching is wrong. But when the results are out and Rivers has reached his best science grade ever, she's not so sure anymore. Bell is sorry about what happened to Dani. So he goes to visit her in hospital. He apologizes and tells her about this communications school where creativity is more appreciated than good grades. In the end the students drive to the hospital to take Dani home with Deloraine's car!
Episode no 57
In literature class they read Romeo & Juliet. When Kat & Matt perform it Jodi is really jealous. The students think the play is old-fashioned and they want to "modernize"it. They make different suggestions who should write the modernization. Peter is against all these suggestions, so the students decide that he is to do it. Deloraine is afraid that Sam and Peter have to work together too closely, but she assures him that there will be no problem and that it will be good for his self-esteem. Finally Deloraine agrees to let them try, but there will be no budget. Rivers is going to be the director of the play and Con the producer. They agree to perform it at the shark-pool. But the students have to audition for the roles. There are a lot of fights about the roles. Con wants to be Romeo with Kat as Juliet, but Kat tells him that Shakespeare has to be spoken very loudly and dramatically (he really makes a fool of himself) because she wants Matt to get the part of Romeo. Jodi wants to be Juliet with Matt as her Romeo. However, Peter thinks Allie might be the best for that part. Steve is against it and he tells him more or less to leave her alone.
When Allie asks her parents to allow the transfer they are against it ,esp. when they find out that she started there without their knowledge.
Allie gives Steve their great-grandfather's watch. When they go on a class trip to the beach he gives it back to her, so she can keep it at a safe spot. However, after the swimming it is missing. Bell and Allie think it might be stolen so Bell wants to check all the students bags. Now everybody is against Bell, Steve and Allie. The next day the watch is found. It stuck between two lockers. But still it is not completely forgiven.
The students are also angry with Peter, because they think his methods are too weird. He really takes it seriously and wants them to work on it like professionals. Allie agrees to help him and finally they all make up again and the play is going on. Kat gets to play Juliet with Matt as her Romeo. During a rehearsal Allie's father comes in and wants to take her out of the school, but Steve and Mr Bell (esp. him) calm him down and finally he agrees to let Allie stay and he even makes up with Steve. After Bell apologizes for his suspicions the students forgive him too.
Episode no 58
Meanwhile the HBH-kids rehearse for Rivers´interpretation of Romeo and Juliet.Kat and Matt are to play the main parts.Kat suspects that something is wrong with Roberto and therefore she asks Helen what´s wrong.Helen confides in her and tells her about his disease.So Kat drops out of the play and tells Con about Roberto.She asks him to pretend not to know anything about it.
Because Kat has dropped out of the play Rivers must recast the Juliet part.Steve suggests Allie because she loves the play and knows the lines by heart.Rivers agrees and Allie plays Juliet.
Andrew gives Rivers detention for not having done his homework.Unfortunately they have to rehearse for the play at the same time.Rivers tells Andrew how important the play is to him and his mates and eventually Andrew lifts the detention. Con and Kat go home to Roberto.Con who never cared about Roberto´s job wants to cheer him up and asks him to go together with him to the building site.There they meet Tuker.He fires Roberto because of the delay with the buiding project.But Con talks to Tuker and Roberto is rehired.He is very proud of Con.And the doctor says that everything is alright.Finally the performance of the play becomes a huge success and meets with much approval
Episode no 59
Sam is looking for a fellow occupant.Andrew asks her whether he could move in.She is not very enthusiastic about it but finally she agrees.
Matt and his group(Steve,Dani and Allie) blame thew chemistry factory for the pollution.Therefore they trespass illegally the factory ground and investigate a sewer.Unfortunately a security guard arrests them.The boss of the factory,Nigel Oliver,is lenient and takes them only to Deloraine,who urges Matt to stop it.But Matt remains stubborn especially because he wants to prove Jody wrong and show her that he is committed to something.But Jody thinks that what he has done is useless and too dangerous.So they argue again.She concludes that they have little in common and that they are on the verge of splitting up.But they want to try again and so plan to go out next evening.
Nigel Oliver comes to the science class to clear up any kind of "misunderstanding".He says that the factory does care about the environment but the class don´t believe him.
Meanwhile Andrew has examined the fish and tells the class that it is poisoned.Because they need more evidence Matt once again goes to the sewer.There he meets Andrew who takes sewage samples.He gives them to Matt and he takes them to a lab.The results confirm that the sewage is toxic.He tells it Jody but she does not care about the results and his commitment.Instead she is disappointed that he has forgotten their date.
Andrew has spent the whole night investigating the sewer.Sam rides on her motorbike to the factory and rescues him from the security guard.He is so happy about the results and the rescue that he kisses Sam.
Nigel comes to Deloraine´s office and talks to Andrew and Matt.He supposes that Matt has been to the factory again but Matt has an alibi.Of course it has been Andrew who has been almost caught by the security guard but Oliver has confused him with Matt.Andrew and Matt take Oliver to task about the toxic sewage.He says that the toxic substances don´t exceed the limits,which is true.So Andrew threatens that he will publish the results and let the people decide on the sewage.That would mean bad publicity for the factory.Deloraine gets very upset about the pollution and so he throws Oliver out.
Episode no 60
Steve and Dani take photos of all the students and teachers at Hartley.They also photograph Deloraine while he is working out with dumb-bells.So he forces Steve to give him the film and then he(Deloraine) destroys it.He asks Steve what he thinks about an exhibition of his photos at Hartley.Steve replies that he is not ready yet for such a big thing but in the end Deloraine gets his way.
Rivers recognizes on one of Steve´s photos his father standing at the school fence.The next day he meets his father by chance and then they go to Norm´s hideout,where he lives with another grifter,Hugh.There is a new singer at the Shark Pool.It´s Tim Beckett alias Jim Scully.He is a famous singer trying to relaunch his career after big problems with alcohol.He sees Jody there and tells her that he likes her lyrics.
Steve and Dani fall in love with each other again and they kiss each other in the photo lab,although they are afraid of spoiling it again.
Hugh wants to coax Norm into another shady dealing.But Norm promises Rivers that he won´t do it and that he is"clean" now. Then they both go looking for a job but they can´t find any.Although Norm has promised not to do anything illegal again,Rivers finds out that he has lied to him again.So he talks to Sam about his father.She suggests that Norm should surrender voluntarily to the police which would mitigate the sentence and sooner or later he´d be arrested anyway.But he refuses.Rivers sees only one way how to prevent Norm from doing the deal:He goes to the police and tells them that Norm surrenders voluntarily.he takes them to the hide-out and the police arrest him.
Meanwhile the exposition has been inaugurated,with Deloraine´s photo,because Steve has given Deloraine the wrong film.But fortunately everybody likes the picture.
Bill is mad at Rivers for telling the police about him.He doesn´t want to talk to Rivers anymore and so Sam talks to him.She asks him to discuss the situation with Rivers.So eventually Norm and Rivers thrash out their problem.
Jody and Matt have split up.Now Matt dates Allie and finally Con and Kat have got closer to each other as well.
Episode no 61Andrew and Kat are dissatisfied with the meals offered at the school canteen cause it´s mostly junk food.Andrew supposes that the students´ wrong diet causes a drop in their performance.So Kat suggests an alternative: She wants to prepare vegetarian meals and sell them during the break.She is convinced that the students will like it.Deloraine gives her two days to test it.Con on the other hand,a big champion of junk food,enters into competition with Kat by opening up a hot dog stand,which bugs Kat a lot.On the first day Con sells much more than Kat but on the second day Deloraine forces him to shut down his stand because Matt and him have got sick after eating his hot dogs.So the students go over to the competitor,to Kat.
Andrew finds out that Sam had a relationship with Peter.She says that it´s definitely over but he has still problems to deal with it.Peter still loves Sam and is jealous.
Jody´s rehearsals at Tim´s are a complete failure.He says he doesn´t like the sound of her songs.Jody goes off in a huff and cries.He takes to the bottle again and gets pissed.Afterwards he goes to the Shark Pool but is unable to sing. Steve takes photos of him(important for next episode!).
Allie hangs often around with Steve,but Dani wants to spend more time with him alone.Therefore Allie starts thinking the reason why they aren´t as often together with her as usually is that they don´t like har anymore because she dates Matt.She feels cut dead by them.But Dani tells her that she does like her and that she only wants to spend more time with Steve.
Tim apologizes to Jody for being abusive to her.He says that this and his boozing are due to the fact that his wife has left him and that he cannot write songs anymore.But the next day he comes to her with a brand new song which he has written over night.So he has finally come to grips with his life again.
Episode no 62
Tim has managed to get a record deal for Jody but there is a snag: She must change her manager,who is Con.Although she doesn´t want to she agrees because she needs an experienced manager.She doesn´t know how to tell it Con.What makes it even more difficult for her is that Con is already looking forward to a succesful career with her.After telling it him he is disappointed and hurt.
Kat applies for a vacancy at a dance academy and has to dance in front of a jury.She practices very hard and eats very little because she thinks she´s too fat.Peter,still craving for Sam,makes up to Kat in order to make Sam jealous of him.But Kat sees through his plan.
The newspaper Steve works for publishes under the title "ex-star hits skid-row" a lurid story about Tim together with his potos he has taken of Tim when he was drunken at the Shark Pool.Steve wanted to draw the editors´attention to himself with the photos. Jody is mad at the article and Steve,cause it has ruined Tim´s comeback.Steve feels lousy about it.He gives up the job at the newspaper and apologizes to Tim.
Matt still doesn´t know what to do.He only wants to surf.Sam suggests he should surf for a while till he has found out what he wants to do.Deloraine is upset about Sam´s suggestion but eventually she convinces him.
While dancing at the academy Kat loses consciousness due to exhaustion.Fortunately there is Con to help and solace her.She wants to try next year again.
Episode no 63Jody drops out of school to go on promotion tour for her single.She goes to Con and wants to say goodbye to him but he cannot hide his disappointment and anger.So he says he doesn´t wanna see her again.Jody goes off crying.
The teachers are on strike.Sam takes part in it while Andrew thinks that it´s a left-wing thing and doesn´t participate.This shows clearly how different they are.And he is still jealous of Rivers.
The hbh-bunch play truth or dare.Matt is asked whether he has already slept with Allie.He doesn´t want to bring Allie and him into a sheepish situation and so he opts for dare.Therefore he has to wear Helen´s bridal gown and rollerskate in the school yard.Kat talks about her last love affair in Greece.So Con becomes jealous.Kat asks Steve who he is closer to:Lucy or Dani?He replies: Dani.But she doesn´t believe him and is upset that he has replied at all.Slowly but surely the party gets out of head with people fighting and serving themselves in the kitchen.Con knows why Kat has given the party and is mad at her.Afterwards he goes to Jody and apologizes to her.He says that she was right to choose an experienced manager.
Meanwhile the party has ended up in utter mayhem.One gatecrasher even hits Rivers with a sports cup and he passes out.After the party the whole house looks like a rubbish dump.Con is devastated.Even worse,his parents phone him up and say that they´ll be back earlier than planned namely in about 30 minutes.With the help of his friends he gets to clean up the mess in time.Nevertheless his parents rumble Con and Kat because Effie has betrayed them.Con still furious about Kat says that their relationship is over.
Episode no 64
Allie has run away from home because she has trouble with her parents and so she wants to move into Jody´s former room for a few days.Jody´s tour has been cancelled because her single has gone very bad.In order to promote it Con and the others air it on Hartley High´s new school radio "Radio Hartley".Con is the DJ assisted by Matt,Allie and Dani.They air Jody´s song by using the frequency of another big station,illegally of course.In the meantime Jody moves back to her room and throws Allie out.She still thinks that Allie has slept with Matt but Allie denies it.
Andrew wants to impress Sam by buying a motorbike.He asks Rivers to help him buy one because he has no idea about bikes.They buy a used one but Sam isn´t happy at all.She says it´s scrap and that it doesn´t fit his personality.
Deloraine comes across Radio Hartley´s illegal transmission and so he closes it down.Thanks to Radio Hartley Jody´s single sells better.To improve the sales even more they wanna play the song once more.They sneak into the station at night and play it.Effie phones the station and urges Kat to talk to the DJ,Con.She explains all to him and says that she loves him.He is very moved and forgives her.Now she is ready to sleep with him as well and they do it.
Jody´s single is doing very well now and thus she can go on tour now.She allows Allie to move into her room.
Sam´s and Andrew´s relationship is on a high as well.All of a sudden Andrew asks her to marry him but she just stares at him horrified.
Episode no 65
Sam tells Andrew that she feels too young to get married.That puts a full stop to their relationship.Peter goes to Sam and tells her that he still loves her.Even though she doesn´t want they kiss each other passionately and exactly then Andrew appears and sees them.He is mad at Sam and says that she thought of Peter when sleeping with him.She sees that she has no future at Hartley and hands in her notice.Peter comes across it and talks to her.She says that the kiss was a mistake but he pegs away and wants to run off with her.She replies almost crying that it´s over and forces him to leave.She apologizes to Andrew and admits that she still loves Peter and that she tried to repress all memory of him but of no avail.
Deloraine´s supervisor visits him in the hospital and tells him that Hartley needs 25 more enrolments than originally planned.So Deloraine returns to school earlier than recommended.Meanwhile the class start a campaign to encourage more pupils to enrol.Con wants Jody to perform for the campaign.He asks her after a long search but she refuses.He is very disappointed and tells her that she has changed a lot since she has become a star.
Peter doesn´t know whether he should run off with Sam.Steve suggests that he should. And finally he does run off with her(farewell, Peter!).
The class have failed to get 75 enrolments.But suddenly Con appears with Jody and she delivers a blazing speech for Hartley.So she convinces more students to enrol and Hartley is rescued ! All´s well that ends well!
