Orange Milkweed (Asclepias tuberosa)

The flowers of the orange milkweed range from almost yellow to deep orange in color. The leaves are alternate and hairy. Unlike other milkweeds, the sap of this species is not milky. This plant is much sought after by butterflies for its nectar.
