    The sellections for Songs of the Sea included Sea Hawk, Wind on the Water, Sixteen Men on a Dead Man's Chest, and Eternal Father (The Navy Hymn).

Results: First Place in AAA, Best Field Commanders, Percussion,    Best Music (tie), and Distiguished Rating, and Sweepstakes             Award.

Sept. 19, 1998, North Laurel H.S.
Results: 1st. place in class AAA, Best Color Guard, Distiguished      Rating, Best Music and Best Visual, Reserve Grand Champion.

Oct. 10, 1998, Larue Co. H.S.
Results: 1st. place in class AAA, Best Color Guard, and a                 Distiguished Rating.

Oct. 17, Hopkinsville Contest of Champions

Results: Distiguished Rating

Oct. 23, 1998, Class AAA West Regionals

Results: 7th place in class AAA, Distiguished Rating, Qualification   for Semi-Finals

Oct. 31, 1998, Class AAA Semi-Finals, Franklin-Simpson H.S.

Results: 6th place in class AAA, Distiguished Rating

     Songs of the Sea was one of the most fun shows that we have done, and was the highest placement ever in Hart Co. Raider Band History. We were so close to finals, at least we got our feet close to the surf, but unfortinatly we did not make it.
