School Related Stuff:
On June'95 I graduated with a Master of Science from the
Bradley Department of Electrical Engineering,
VIRGINIA TECH.
As a Graduate Research Assistant I had worked on the
RASSP (Rapid Prototyping of Application
Specific Signal Processors) project with my adivsor, Dr.F.G.Gray .
My Research involved:
- Hardware Modeling.
- 2D-Image Processing for Automatic Target Detection.
- Interfacing Hardware and Software VHDL Performance Models
to an Signal Processing Algorithm Partitioning tool.
- Performance Modeling of Single Processor and Multi-Processor
Computer Architectures.
My Other Activities while in school
- Chairman, Virginia Tech, IEEE Computer Society
- System Administrator, VTCOSY - Virginia Tech Conferencing System, An Internet Conferencing Host.

Who am I ?
A nice, sweet, sincere person. Really ! :-)
Fun-loving but I know when to be seriuos.
What does my first name and last name mean ?
Hormazd (pronounced Hormaz, with just a slight tinge of "d")
is an ancient Persian name meaning "The Enlightened One",
well atleast thats what I think, if it is anything else
please feel free to enlighten me . :-).
It is also spelt as, Hormuz, Hormuzd, Ohrmazd, Ohrmuzd.
Commissariat means different things in different languages.
In English it is a Rank in the army, In French it means a
Police Office(r), In Russian it means member of the Commissar.
What do I do for fun ?
Dancing ( Salsa , Latin-American, Ballroom, Country-Western , Rock-n-Roll )
Hiking , Camping ,
White-water rafting , going for long scenic drives
through the mountains here in the San Francisco bay area,
driving my car at break-neck speeds ;),
or just hanging out with my friends
in the bay area or with my friends at Intel and my
colleagues at Intel .
I like most forms of Music (other than Rap and Opera), I am a member of
Columbia House as well as BMG . So if any of you would

My Heritage
I was born in the metropolis of Bombay
in India .
By religion/ethnicity I am a Zorastrian , an ancient religion/race which
originated in the Persian region which is now Iran and Khazakstan (Ukraine).
Hey, I have a sea named after me, The Gulf of Hormuz, in the persian gulf, isn't that cool ?
Goal in life ?
To be happy and make others happy, not neccessarily in that order.
