You have made interesting observations about health and fitness. Your instincts are right. People will
lose weight on any program where they are finally focused on a goal and working actively toward it.
|
|
Also, it seems as if you are referring to the Atkins diet or some similar version, where they eliminate
carbs. IT CAN'T LAST!!! It is not natural. It will never be a lifestyle change. Any weight lost will be
TEMPORARY!

Eliminating food groups from the diet is never a good idea, and tends to lead to cravings and binging
because the body will demand it and ignoring a demand will create an urgent drive until that demand is
satisfied - kinda like sex. We can pretend we dont need it, and we can go without for so long, but at
some point... we have to do something - even if it is to take matters into our own hands. Thank God for
the institution of marriage!

Educating yourself on sound fitness information is a GOOD THING! The industry is very dynamic -
meaning it is ever changing. 5 year old information is often OLD information in this business. Trainers
have to keep up with what is new to maintain their certification. I must say I had never heard the
comment about milk contributing to mental challenges - but hey - that is why it will be a good idea for
you to get into the business. I know you are in the UK, but if you ever come to Tampa, Florida, I can
help you get your international fitness certification.
