Winter Warfare 2k2

Winter Warfare 2002 was HCW's first real show after about a month of downtime due to the untimely, spontaneous winter climate of Upstate NY. Much anticipations was built up for this card and all went according to plan considering the nearly untolerable state of the HCW arena. The show kicked off with Spike the Sharpman - the new Commishioner of HCW - announcing to the HCW fans his flaws as the commish, and the similarities he and the last HCW commish shared. His new attitude would give the fans what they want to see, but on Spike's own terms of course. After asking if anyone thought they deserved a title shot, Johnny Flair entered the arena and demanded a title shot. When Spike asked that he cast away his Chocolate Eater Title Belt, Johnny Flair did so without hesitation. However, Spike was not going to hand over a World Title shot to Johnny Flair, the man that lured him into the Dynasty only to violently reject him shortly after, so easily. Eric Wingender also came down to the floor and demanded a title shot. The Sharpman would sign the two wrestlers, and later The Hoser, into a 4-Way Dance for the World Championship. The fans were excited of what was to come.

With the CE Title vacant, Spike also set the brackets for a Chocolate Eater Title Tournament that would take place at Winter Warfare 2k2. The wrestlers who would take part in this tournament were Moe Mentum and Jeremy Peraza, and newcomers  Dillon McCarthy and Tommy Spade. Jeremy Peraza would win in an upset against Moe Merica, who botched a moonsault and knocked himself out of the tournament. Dillon McCarthy, the hometown favorite, would win against Tommy Spade in another hardfought match between the two rookies. The rising tensions between Spade and McCarthy would erupt in the final match of the tournament - Dillon McCarthy vs. Jeremy Peraza. From the start of the match Dillon would be taunted by Spade, who sat by Clay Ross through most of the match. Dillon would lash back at Spade, which was very hilarious according to the fans that attended the show. But in the end, Jeremy Peraza hit the 747 on DMC and secured a final victory in the CE Tournament. As for DMC and Spade, we can anticipate their feud to grow in the upcoming shows.

The 4-Way Dance was a huge match. It was especially important because the Hoser had been on a leave of absence for a while and was waiting to make his return. As things got under way, the fans were seeing some fierce fighting going on. However, in the beginning of the match, TMV was reportedly abducted by an unknown veichle and was unable to defend his precious World Title. The fighting was left to the Hoser, Johnny Flair, and Eric Wingender - three men who wanted nothing to do with each other and would go to great lengths to win the most valued title in HCW. Despite Eric Wingender and Johnny Flair's fast paced, technical wrestling, the Hoser's stiff hockey brawling style won him the title in the end after he performed a flying fame-asser onto Eric Wingender. After the match, the Hoser cut his music and spat on the title. Then, the Canadian taunted the two American wrestlers who were bruised and fatigued from the fight. Now that Hoser has the title, HCW fans can expect to see more of the much despised hockey star.

That's all for Winter Warfare 2002. Make sure to be at HCW's St. Patrick's Day Barroom Brawl!
