Motorcycle Owners Report Higher Satisfaction
Customer satisfaction among new motorcycle buyers is on the rise, according to a recent J.D. Power & Assoc. survey.

Westlake Village, CA - Customer satisfaction among new motorcycle buyers is on the rise, according to a recent J.D.Power & Assoc. survey. Better customer service at the dealership and higher-quality motorcycles are attributed with the gains. Rating are up about 10% from the past two years.
Buyers report that desighn and style are the two most important items to them in the purchase decision, followed by brand, performance and hanling.
The average age of buyers continues upward, from 41 years in 1998 to 44 in 2003. Two third of the buyers are 40 years or older. Women account for slightly more than 10% of new bike sales.

Halls of Fame Announce Intent of Merge.
The Motorcycle Fame of Hall Museum and the National Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame have signed a "memo of understanding" to pursue a merger of their respective hall-of-fame inductees and procedures into a unified entity under the banner  of the current Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum.

The joint annoncment was made today in Daytona Beach, Florida, by John Parham, Presidentd of the National Motorcycle Museum's board of Directors, and Mark Mendell, Chairmen of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum's board of Directors.

"It's our mutual intent to inter into a written agreement which will detail the specifics of the merger," Parham said in making the annoncement. "Among the principles of the agreement are the automatic enshrinement of all pass inductees in both museums hall of fame into one merged entity; development of a single nomination and selection process for future inductees; and a common set of graphic standarts to rainforce the brand identity of the Motorcycle Hall of Fame. This also would include a common website linked to both museums, wich will feature both museums combined list of past inductees."
