My  BLM Filly
Meet Amanda Blue
Jan 28, 2004 As the luck of the high bid on a BLM wild horse internet adoption a blue roan Curly filly from the Salt Wells BLM herd management area in Wyoming joined our herd of domestic Curlies.  The anticipation of the bidding was as exciting as experiencing  a mare's pregnancy and foaling .
Doesn't she look like she is smiling here? This was taken while still at the BLM corrals. She must have known her new home is full of love for a Curly.

Amanda took the cross country move from Idaho to Texas in stride and is one of the calmest Curlies we own.  She is putting on a good bit of size and may end up bigger than I anticipated for a mustang. Can't wait to start this one under saddle.

It didn't take her long to make friends with these other curly fillies. Notice the color change with her first spring's shedding.
