Got back my O Level results yesterday. 8 points is slightly worse than what I wanted. But I'm quite okay with it. Thankful that I got A1s for a few subjects that I thought I messed up. I was super sure  that my literature would not earn me an A1; even told my teacher so, but still got a 1 in the end. YAY!  So  At first I thought that I had gotten 9 points because of a sentence on  the result slip that said "number of subjects graded 6 or better=9". The disappointment arising from this, coupled by the anguish of  "English Language       3" on the slip caused a few  tears to flow. The energy which stems from anger can be transformed into kinetic energy. And, if you hold due regard for Newton and his Law of Conservation of Energy, no energy should be lost. I shall use this kinetic energy to read up etc so that I can do well for GP.  When I went to school for the JAE today, many people made an effort to comfort me when I told them I had gotten 8 points. A clear difference in expectations-  they would have been devastated with 8 points, while I'm still keeping it together.
Tis' a proof that Rafflesians HAVE a substantial amount of EQ! Stop being prejudiced! This whole experience has been a good lesson that self-worth should not be based on grades, because grades fluctuate; especially in subjects like English or Literature in which marking is subjective. There's more to life than that.

Sprained my ankle on thursday so I've got lots of time to do my holiday homework now. Mum's on a cooking/recipie-high. Which means I get to eat all the good food and grow fat. I place the counter on this webby to see if any one actually visits, but I doubt so. Just being hopeful.

GP was actually fun; not because the session was engaging, it was because 2 of my class mates started putting their creativity to better use. They started drawing a battlefield on the desk with chalk. First a helipad, then a battleship. The 3M glue stiic found new meaning to its existence as it became a tomahawk. It was mighty funny. Then somehow it became a comic strip, with "girl tai-tai vs stick boy". Were laughing like mad. I pity our GP teacher!
