With regards to my ability to tutor mathematics, I received A’s and B+’s in my high school math courses and spent 2 ½ years at Carleton University in the engineering program.(I did not attain the degree) Below are my marks sorted by department.

Since university I have continued to study math and physics.
My greatest success so far with tutoring is when I helped my nephew Trevor graduate high school and enter college after failing his grade 9 mathematics course for the second time. After I tutored him for part of the summer he was able to get his necessary math credits, commenting to his father “If only I had known that I could do it”. His attitude had changed to the better so drastically that his math teacher was lead to joke with him saying “Who are you and what did you do with Trevor”.
Since university, I have worked particularly hard at developing an understanding of the fundamental concepts related to that math and physics. I believe that I have developed insights that aid a student in comprehending the fundamentals which they often lack.
