Greetings in the
precious name of Jesus! We are the Cox Family -- Jere, Pamela,
Jared & Jerelyn. We are currently making plans to move to
Matamoros, Mexico to begin a rescue ministry focusing on children.
It is our sincere desire to serve God by reaching out to His
little ones with love and assistance. We welcome your prayers as we begin this endeavor!!
Our background includes several years of work in an inner-city
mission, where we were blessed to see God work miracles in the
lives of many men, women and children.
The vision God has given us encompasses
several different ministries, including:
- Opening a Christian Pre-School
The Mexican government has stopped allowing orphanages to take in babies and toddlers. This results in older children being put into homes while the babies are left in squalid conditions. We would like to bypass the governmental requirements by opening a pre-school / daycare to offer love, food, and clothing to these precious children. A natural growth of this ministry will hopefully be a Bible study for the children's mothers.
- Starting Traveling Medical Clinics
There are many small villages
surrounding Matamoros that are home to families living in abject
poverty. God has opened doors and provided the resources to
begin clinics that will travel to these villages to offer medical,
dental, and ophthalmologic care. Another facet of this ministry
will include going into the villages on a monthly basis to have
birthday celebrations for the children. The end goal of these
ministries is to share the gospel in a loving, familiar
environment while glorifying the Lord.
- Opening a Children's Outreach Center
Our hope is to find a suitable facility to use for a children's outreach
center. There are many homeless children living on the street,
and we are seeking God's guidance and wisdom as we make plans
to offer these children hope, food, clothing, schooling, and the Gospel.
