Catharine Eldridge was born circa 1800 to John Eldridge and Sarah (Polly) Gilliland. She died 28 March 1875 in the Calfkiller Community of Putnam County, Tennesse and is buried in the Johnson Cemetery there.

John Eldridge was born circa 1774 in Brunswick, Virginia, and he died in Overton County, Tennessee. He married Polly on 2 December 1796. Polly was born 1779 to James Gilliland and wife.
