The Simple Joys of Life

Maybe this day has inspired me to make a page about the simple joys of life. It has been one of those days filled with the wonders of nature. Then again it may just be my love of nature. Really it makes no difference, I just hope that I can share with you all of the joys I have seen today, and that you can enjoy the peace and beauty of all the simple things in life.

As I sit here watching the sunrise, and watching a mother deer and her offspring getting a drink from the pond. I ponder over how many of us take the time in this fast pace world to enjoy the simple things in life. The free things in life that cost us nothing, but give so much in return.

I have watched the birds feeding each other at the feeder on the deck. Listened to their happy chirps, singing their songs so sweet that no man could ever sing. So many different species all eating and living in harmony. Isn't it a shame that man cannot do the same.

I saw a flower that was just a little bud yesterday open to become a beautiful sweet smelling rose today. As I walk past the bed of wildflowers a sweetness fills the air. An aroma that no man could ever reproduce.

A trip to the store, and I enjoy the beauty of the feilds of winter wheat. At this time of the year it is ready to harvest and a thing of rare beauty all golden and shining in the sunlight. Moving ever so gently in the breeze, looking like a gentle sea of gold.

In the afternoon we have a brief thunderstorm, one of those cold front meeting a heat front storms. My first thought are not of the beauty of the rain, but of will I be able to get on the internet? The storm was soon over, and I see the grass glistening with rain drops, the air smelled of new fallen rain, and once again my thoughts return to the wonders of nature. Then in a beautiful blue sky I see a rainbow. Another free gift to enjoy.

Well the day is done and the sun is now setting. I sit in awe at the beauty of it all. I only wish I could share this sunset with all of you. The beautiful shades of blue and pinks with just a touch of dusk. Most of all I wish I could share the feeling of peacefulness that all this beauty brings. Just another of the simple joys of life, free for all to enjoy.

To make the day complete we have a beautiful clear night with the stars all twinkling above , like diamonds in the dark. A silvery moon is shinning to light which ever paths our life will follow.

As you can tell I had a day filled with the simple things of life. Thanks for letting me share my beautiful day with you.

These are just of the few of the simple things in life. There are so many more to be found if we just take the time to see them. I am sure if you take a few minutes of time from your busy life, and look around that you will also find many Simple Joys of Life to enjoy..

Nobody owns a mountain
Nobody owns the sea,
None can possess the sunshine -
A bright reaching Summertime tree.
Nature is all around us
Lending her special charms,
Touching God's world with her magic
And holding it fast in her arms.

No one can hold a snowflake
So quickly it melts away,
We can't bid the twilight to linger
When it comes to the end of day.
Rainbows are but for a moment
There in the blue of the sky,
Bright colored leaves of the Autumn
Are gone in a blink of the eye.

Winter soon changes to Springtime
Then quickly a soft Summer day
Fades to the magic of Autumn
Then white Winter snowflakes at play.
A world filled with wonder and magic
 Miracles loaned from above,
Yet no one ever can own them
They are God's gifts of heavenly love.
