Hello there STRANGER . Welcome to Ol' Grizzly's web hide-out. . Hope you like it.

I am a Maltese"gas-man" (anaesthetist).. and my other interests include electronics computing and amateur radio. I've had to take off Land Rover 90 pic I had on the page previously. Sadly I sold the beast and got a Trooper 3.1D instead. It's much kinder on the ol' bones and smokes less but the landie had character to spare. "Driving" in Malta is a bit like being on Safari everyday ... all sorts of 'wild-life' on the road and holes large enough to serve as bear-traps!!

I do a bit of baking( cakes a speciality) and some really groovy gardening making use of wind and solar energy to cater for all the garden needs.

Real GREEN stuff.

I have a special interest in growing herbs and have a fair collection at present including rosemary, sage, mint, lemon verbena, basil and marjoram all growing happily. Others include two species of lavender, red pepper, lemon balm, thyme, myrthle, horehound, valerian, foxglove, feverfew, catnip , cotton lavender, pennyroyal and hemlock.

My other interests are amateur radio and electronics as well as the occasional surfing.

I've been messing around with sonoluminescence i.e. the conversion of sound energy(ultrasound infact) to light. It's a very illuminating experience (if you pardon the pun); not with respect to the degree of illumination obtained(a little blue speck seen only after adjusting to total darkness) but in so far as the way it comes about could possibly involve processes so far poorly understood and possibly of great potential for the future.
