Here are a few poems I have written. Heartache and The Vision were published. I am still working on others!
Dream
by Pam Ellis
One day I dream
that I will be able
to hold him in my arms
Touch his face
Feel his embrace
The time will come
to fully know his love
Our time together is precious
No need to rush it
No need to deny it
One day I dream
that I will caress him
One day I dream
that he will be mine
I can wait
I will wait to feel his embrace
For then I will truly know love!
Heartache
by Pam Ellis
The pain is felt deep in my heart
The struggle to survive is most in my mind
I cannot see over my heartache
I cannot feel knowing it is there
There must be a way to set myself free
A path should be chosen and followed to freedom
For somewhere I need to find my peace
Without my heart I am not whole
Without my life I cannot go forward
Day to day problems seem immense
I struggle to breathe
What will become of my heartache
Only time will tell
The Vision
by Pam Ellis
Walking through a forest
a soft rain begins to fall
She shivers slightly frightened
As she looks about the cool misty forest
she sees but yet ahead of her a vision
is it really there or is it just her eyes
playing in time with the rain
She knows that if she looks very hard
she might be able to make out the vision ahead
Her life has been a jumble of loneliness
Has this brought her some sort of peace..
She stumbles through the brush
almost running, thinking.... she has got to know
The vision darts in and about the trees
She thinks it is playing with her mind...
It is so far away, but yet seems like on the other
side of the earth....
she reaches her hand out as she nears the vision
Just as she thinks it will be thin air it happens
a strong hand grasp her and pulls her close
She feels such warmth and strength
She now knows the vision is not a dream..
Without You
by Pam Ellis
As each day begins
I wonder
How long it has been
to hold you in my arms
As each day moves forward
thoughts of us,
lingers on my mind
As each night approaches
I tremble remembering
the images of us
And once more
as another dawn begins
I wonder and rise
to begin yet another day
without you
