Concerned about crime in South Africa ?

We are an ordinary Christian family living in South Africa. Our hometown is Kempton Park. Mom and dad are Brenda and Christo. Our two kids are Karin (21) and Adriaan (18). The family pets are two fox terriers, Griet and Zandi(aka Kleintjie). Both of them don't quite realise that they are not human.

Both kids have now left home. Karin (now 25) got married on 23 Feb 2002 and is living with husband Jaco and their own three dogs, Cleo, Molly and Timmy, not too far from mom and dad.
Adriaan (now 22) left for London, six days after Karin's wedding. There he stayed for about 7 months before moving to Edinburgh, Scotland. He will be leaving the UK on 21 Jan 2004 for China, after visiting Singapore. He wants to travel to China via Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
Griet died on 30 December 2003 after waiting for us to return from a 3 week holiday in Namibia. She was cremated on 31 December.

Christo's hobby is radio controlled model flying. He belongs to the Kempton Park Barnstormers Model Flying Club, which is affiliated to the SouthAfrican Model Aircraft Association(SAMAA)

Brenda makes ceramic ornaments in her little workshop at home, whichshe supplies to a number of gift shops, florists, home craft shops andindividuals. Click here to see some examples ofher work.

Adriaan is very interested in computers. He wants to go and studyin the USA and work for Microsoft after high school.

Karin is a final year student at PretoriaTechnicon, studying for a three year diploma course in BEAUTY TECHNOLOGY(now called "Somatology")after which she plans to start her own business.

As a family, we love the outdoors and regularly go camping with ourcaravan for week ends. We also belong to SACA (South African CaravanAssociation), which is an organisation based on Christian values. These valuesare also written into its constitution.
At these weekend camps we always have a church service on the Sunday andhave Sunday school for thekids.

Ons is 'n gewone Afrikaanse Christelikegesin. Pa en ma is Christo en Brenda. Ons twee kinders is Karin (21) en Adriaan(18 jaar oud). Ons foksie Griet, besef glad nie sy is 'n hond nie. Ons jonger foksie Zandi (ons noem haar "Kleintjie") is ook net so bederf soos Griet.

As gesin is ons baie lief vir kampeer.Ons behoort aan SAWA (Die Suid Afrikaanse Woonwa Assosiasie) wat op Christelikewaardes gegrond is. Dit is ook so in SAWA se grondwetvervat.

Ons gaan kamp met ons woonwa saammet SAWA, min of meer een maal per maand.
