~*~WHERE DO UNICORNS GO?~*~
In the sea, the fish have learned to fly,
On a moonlit night, on wings of silver,
As the enchanted stars sail serenely by,
Do they know?
Where do unicorns go? Where winged horses fly?
Narwhals lost at sea, and never seen again,
Go, go and ask the magpie, "Where do unicorns go?"
In the trees, the birds have learned to speak,
Many colored, they keep their secrets, in a parade of clouds,
Playing hide and seek, do they know?
Where do unicorns go? Where winged horses fly?
Narwhals lost at sea, and never seen again,
Does myth and mystery lie,
Where the unicorns go?

When the last eagle flies,
Over the last crumbling mountain,
And the last lion roars,
At the last dusty fountain,
In the shadow of the forest,
Though she may be old and worn,
They will stare, unbelieving,
At the Last Unicorn.
When the first breath of winter,
Through the flowers is icing,
And you look to the north,
And the pale moon is rising,
And it seems that all is dying,
And would leave the world to mourn,
In the distance, hear the laughter,
Of the Last Unicorn,
I'm alive, I'm alive...
When the last moon is cast,
Over the last star of morning,
And the future has past,
Without even a last, desperate warning,
Then look into the sky where through,
The clouds a path is formed,
Look and see her, how she sparkles,
It's the Last Unicorn,
I'm alive, I'm alive...

~*~The Unicorn~*~
He hides by day,
and searches by night.
The last known unicorn,
with the coat of angelic white.
It's almost as if he's magic, 
the prosseessor of powers unknown.
He keeps the hope of finding another,
but he is painfully alone.
Being seen by mankind,
would mean instant death.
Due to life's attained ignorance,
they would take his last breath.
He wants so badly to nuzzle,
close to someone safe and warm.
But this hope slowly fades,
as does night with the coming morn.
He remains forever brave,
and holds his head high.
Sometimes on a quiet night,
you can hear his mournful cry.
He will continue his search,
until his dying day.
The majestic and beautiful unicorn,
who is perfect in every way.

He is watching me. 
I can see his eyes.
Blue,
Like a stormy night in a foggy port.
How silver is his horn,
A spiral,
Twisting,
Turning,
Winding it's way to a peak,
Reaching for Heaven.
His mane blows freely in the night's air,
Catching the faintest breeze.
A stance he is in that says, "What do you see?"
I reply, "A unicorn."

The sun shines bright,
The mystical creature bathes in warmth and light;
Roaming free in the vast jewelled plains,
After breaking away from heavy, rusty chains.
This unicorn is now free,
And magical voices sing with glee.
All nasty creatures he ignores,
No matter how much he abhors.
Off goes the mystical beast,
Back to his kindom for a magical feast.
Where it snows magic dust,
And he rules fair and just.
Mystical-land is full of mirth,
Unlike the mundane world, called Earth.
Dreams I shall continue to weave,
And forever, the magic I will believe.

The coastal waters clear,
I raised my hand to wipe a tear.
The gentle sea breeze,
That brought a sneeze.
From a distance I saw a Unicorn,
With a magnificent jewelled horn.
Large wonderful srides,
Along the coast, so wide.
Pretty white wings,
A beautiful mane;
The finest of all living things,
My long wait was not in vain.
Still, it had to go away,
Leaving me alone at bay.
Looking forward to the next morn,
Awaiting the break of dawn....
The sky was crimson,
As the unicorn flew towards the horizon;
I sat and waved goodbye,
Wishing that I, too, could fly.
I continued to watch this tide,
Looking out at the ocean, so wide,
Will tomarrow be a better day?

Take my hand, I'll show you the way to mystical land
Where the Unicorn and Dragon unite
And ugly, harsh reality, they fight.
It is never wrong to dream,
As things are never what they seem.
It is choice that determines destiny,
And I've chosen to live in my own realm of fantasy.
At least, I will not be accused and maligned,
And the golden light, through this darkness, shall shine.

To enter this world you never knew.
