Designed for the very beginner quilter who has not used a sewing machine since middle school if ever. This class is a 4 week class or an all day class (however, students in an all day class do not have the benefit of the fabric selection instruction before purchasing their fabrics). During the course of this class students will be introduced to fabric selection, equipment, color and technique. Students will complete a small 27" x 27" wallhanging (pictured on offerings page). Techniques learned include basic piecing and basic machine applique.

Double Nine Patch
During this class you will make a double nine patch quilt in a size of your choice. When you take this class you will have to work on your own in between classes. Currently we teach this class from our home and classes are scheduled according to completiion of each segment.
Fee: $6.00 per hour per person
Machine Applique (3 hours)
Using easy techniques for machine applique students can choose from a variety of blocks that can easily made into a quilt at a later date.
This is an ideal project for a quilt guild or any other group wishing to learn a new technique.

Heart Applique Wallhanging (2 weeks)
This is a cute project for Valentine's or for anytime if you love hearts!! In this class you will piece a wallhanging and learn different applique techniques. Students will learn freezer paper hand applique, machine applique and fusible applique techniques.
Fee: $25/person
Basic Hand Applique (2 weeks)Learn the basics of hand applique while making a beautiful spring basket wallhanging. You will learn to manage circles, curves, straight lines, points and "cleevage". We will use freezer paper to create the pattern and aid us in our stitching.
Fee: $25/person
Easter Basket (3 weeks)Another topical project in time for the holidays. However, it is easy enough to change the contents of the basket to make it suitable for all seasons. Piece a basket block and fill it with your favorite things. Frame it with a border and create a quilted wallhanging. Applique easter eggs, flowers or whatever you would like into the basket using a variety of techniques and make this wallhanging an individually crafted work of art to grace your home.

Log Cabin Quilt (Lap Size) (5 weeks)During this four week class you will learn the basics of log cabin quilt construction. This wonderful traditional block is ideal for the man in your life.
