Sources for DAVID BOLSTER

Little is Known of David Bolster except that he is Richard Bolster Jr.'s son and he was born in Rhode Island. He Moved to Ohio before 1835. He was found living in Camden, Lorrain County, Ohio in the 1850 census. He was found remarried to a Betsy who was born in Massachusettes, so it is believed they were married before the move to Ohio. Allthough there is a major age difference in David and Betsy's age. I believe Betsy IS David's wife. Due to a couple of reasons one being in the Camden, Lorrain Co., Ohio Census record the census taker did not write down W for wife for ANY household he only wrote F for female. And secondly the oldest child recorded in the 1850 Camden, Lorrain Co., Ohio Census for David Bolster is Richard Bolster born 1835 in Ohio. So I believe it is unlikely David's first wife had Richard 32 years after she married David. So it leads me to believe Betsy is either is wife because she was born in Massachusettes where neither David or his siblings nor his parents where born. Or she is his daughter because she was born in 1810, 8 years after he married his first wife. Another reason to make believe Betsy is David's wife is he had such young children living him. Wich leads to a final option of the young children being his grandchildren from Betsy and a dead or travling son. In this census David Bolster states he is 75 years of age and was born in Rhode Island. we find five of his children living with him they are, Richard Bolster - age 15 yrs., William Bolster - age 10 yrs., Daniel Bolster - age 9 yrs., Betsy - age 6 yrs., and Justice Bolster - age 4 yrs. David probably died before the 1860 census because I can not find him living in Ohio, and I know the Bolster's lived there till they moved to Michigan abt. 1917.
