Another great list if you just want to get started making soaps; but are a little imtimidated by the lye, is the M&P list. This is Melt & Pour Glycerine soap. You can buy M&P soap kits at most of the Super Wal-marts and some of the regular Wal-marts. You can also purchase these kits from some hobby places. If you are interested, the list will let you know many large suppliers of good quality glycerine soap base. This is a great way "to get your feet wet". And you can learn all kinds of really neat stuff to do with M&P. ;-) To subscribe, send an email to Majordomo@UserHome.com. Leave the subject line blank; in the body of the email, put: subscribe mpsoapcraft.

There are several soap lists; I love them all, and I'm on all of them. LOL I'll give you the subscription addy's and what to put in the body of the email. (Remember to leave the subject line blank).

Soap list: Majordomo@UserHome.com; in the body put: subscribe soap

Another Soap list: majordomo@lists.xmission.com; in the body put: subscribe soap.

I promise these two above are different. LOL And both are great at learning the hobby of soapmaking. ;-)

Natural list, this is a list on using natural products for cosmetics, soapmaking, creams, lotions, etc: Majordomo@MailingList.net; in the body put: subscribe natural.

If and when you get to the point of maybe wanting to make a cottage industry out of your soapmaking hobby, there is a list called SoapBiz. They are tailored more in line of forming a soap business. This is not a beginners soap making list; but is a soapmakers list for learning how to go into business for themselve's. It's very informative. To subscribe, send an email to: Majordomo@mLists.net. In the body of the email: subscribe soapbiz.

There are other soap lists, I'll get them up too. There are also related lists. Like Essentials (an essential oil list) and many herb lists that will help in your learning process. On these lists you will learn a lot about the ingredients you can add to your soaps and homemade cosmetics. ;-)

The essential list is a great learning tool. To subscribe, send and email to: essentials@naturesgift.com. This time put SUBSCRIBE in the subject line and leave the message blank.

The herb-info list helps you learn about the many herbs that can be added and even how to grow your own. To subscribe, send an email to: Majordomo@Majordomo.net. In the message of your email put: subscribe herbinfo.

And one of my favorite list, is a homestead list that has lots of soapers on it. Here you learn a lot about growing herbs & veggies, raising animals, making soap and all sorts of homestead arts. To subscribe, send an email to: Majordomo@UserHome.com. And in the message portion put: subscribe homestead-work.
