PEACE
"my peace I give unto you"

The opposite of peace is trouble.

How do we find peace?

PEACE, There are 374 references in 400 verses in the Holy Bible, King James Version, about peace.

The source of true peace comes form the “Prince of Peace”
When he was getting ready to ascend to his Father he made this promise to his followers.

Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. John 14:27 KJV.

From this verse we see that peace is a gift of God through this Son Jesus Christ. He has given it; we must receive it,
Here He said, “Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid”, How can one have peace when there is trouble or trying times in our lives.

If we will notice he makes a strong point in two of these verses which I have listed, here:

“Let not your heart be troubled:“

How can we keep our heart from trouble? The last part of the verse tell us how to have peace in time of trouble.
“ye believe in God, believe also in me.”

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. John 14:1KJV.

How do we believe or have faith when all seemly is contrary to our thinking.
The answer in found in knowing the promise of God through the word. “Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God…”

A good example is when the Apostle Peter was thrown in Jail for teaching and preaching the gospel (good news) of Jesus Christ.
Knowing that the rulers were going to do to him what they had just done to James. However he did not let it weary or trouble him, but on the contrary, he was asleep when the angle of the Lord smote him on the side and said “arise Peter" and throw thy close about thee for we are leaving this jail. You see Jesus had told Peter, when you are old, another will dress you and lead you about.
This knowledge of old age tells him that he will live to be an old man, he knows that he is not old. Therefore the promise of Jesus Christ gave him peace in time of threat for his life.

Here in is peace!

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace.
In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.John 16:33 KJV.

“These things I have spoken unto you”, is His Word.
