Appalachian Quilts
Jukebox
Country Music from the Appalachian foothills

jukebox Back when I was still young and live at home, my mother and some of the other ladies from the neighborhood would get together to quilt and visit with each other on a Saturday evening, while the men folks sat on the front porch and made music. Pa had a banjo that he loved to pick. The sound of the old country music filled the air with a calm that forever lingers with me.

The following list is some of that same music and a few that I like from later years.
