ALL THINGS DISNEY
Another of my passions is all things Disney.
In my house, you will find Disney parifinalia in every room including
the bathroom and the garage. I have been collecting Disney STUFF
for about 20 years now. I have not yet ventured into the world of
expensive items such as the one of a kind watches available at
Disneyland, or any of
the collectible cells, but I'm sure I will someday. For now, I am
content to collect the less expensive (read: CHEAP) merchandise. I
have an extensive collection of the kids toys available from
Burger King Kids Meals, and
McDonalds Happy Meals. I also
collect the movie watches from the
Disney Store, trading cards,
collectible plates, toys, books, and stuffed animals. Growing up, I
always wanted to work at Disneyland. So in 1992, I applied and worked
for about 9 months as an "Attractions Host" (read: Ride Operator)in
Fantasyland. In the few months I was there, I had the pleasure of
running Casey Jr.'s Circus Train, Dumbo, The Tea Cups, Alice in
Wonderland, The Pinoccio ride, Snow White's Scary Adventure, and the
now defunct Skyway and Motorboat Cruise Through Gummi Glen.
Disney will be opening a brand new theme park on February 8, 2001 called Disney's California Adventrure (DCA). I decided that I wanted the chance to be part of this new piece of Disney history, so in November of 2000 I applied to return to working for Disney. I was accepted and am now an Attractions Host at the Hyperion Theater at DCA. It is a blast! You can find out more information about DCA at Disney's California Adventure
