Finishing Techniques

Finishing techniques used are very important. A word to the wise: If you know that you have problems finishing & cutting off the thread ends, and you are going to mount the lace, try this trick: leave about 2-3" of thread tails, then simply pull them through to the back of the mounting fabric. I like to mount my lace on velveteen, so the finishing tends to 'sink' into the velvet. Once the piece is framed, you cannot see the ends!
