Mary's Unicycle Journal

There is a brand New sport coming to a wooded area near you!
Lets take trail access a step further. Hiking trails, Bicycle trails, Horse trails stand a side.
I'm searching for Uni access trails. Slow moving human powered one wheeled vehicals legal on all trails!!

And if I were to publish a cool new Off road unicycling magazine what would it be like.....

Interested? These links can tell you more!

UnicyclingThis is a general Unicycling resource. Its a very good place to start if you are not aware of the unicycling subculture and want to become part of it.

The Unicycle Source
This is your next step in becoming a unicycle guru, owning one! There are several places on the net to buy a unicycle but this site has the largest selection at one site.

There are a few sites that look at modern unicycle design and at some of the modifications for these off road specific machines.

The first is Brett Bymaster he shows us a couple of his unicycles and the changes he has made to them. Second isDan Hopkins who started from scratch with his suspended design.

In this same vein of unicycle construction are two other new designs. Roger Davies and Jez Weston have come up with some carbon fiber unicycles. And Geoffrey Faraghan's design which addresses seatpost size angle and suspension.

Now that you have an idea what it takes lets check out some riding. The first site that comes to mind belongs to John Foss. He started the California Off-Road Weekend and has an excellent display of photos from those events. Another great display of photos come from Simon Greenway. He has done a good job showing us the cycling in the UK.

Everyone has a story about how they started, who introduced you to the unicycle. So, here is my story.
