November 4, 2006 - Fun with Brownie Try-Its - The following Try-Its will be offered at this event. A description of the planned activities is included. Please understand these activities may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

September 30, 2006 - Fun with Brownie Try-Its - The following Try-Its will be offered at this event. A description of the planned activities is included. Please understand these activities may change due to unforeseen circumstances.

1. Brownie Girl Scouts Through the Years - girls will step back in time as Brownies and learn about traditions, songs, games, snacks and more!
2. Eco Explorer- girls will learn about habitats, butterfly gardens, and ways to help wildlife
3. Playing around the world- girls will learn and play games from different countries
4. Science Wonders- girls will make bubbles, invisible ink, explore static electricity & magnets
5. Art to Wear- girls will get to decorate a bandana, use their creativity to make a mask, they will face paint and practice their knot tying and in the process make a bracelet
6. Science in Action- girls will go on a special scavenger hunt, make glop, work with magnets and learn about the colors of chemicals
7. Her Story- girls will learn the art of telling their own special story by exploring other stories, they will make their own timeline, and create funny tales to tell.
8. People Are Talking- girls will learn different languages including sign language, they will learn about saying things without speaking a word
9. Girls Sports- girls will learn stretching, practice their throwing and catching skills with targets, learn different types of kicking for soccer, and practice lean some great moves for volleyball.
10. Ready Set Go Camping- girls will learn bandana tricks, have a sleeping bag race, learn knot tying and storm cloud watching, and sample camp foods

March 2006 - Aussie Adventure - G'Day Mate! Have you ever heard of the land down under? Do you know where it is? Do you know which country has people that really talk like that? Well get ready skipper! You are about to find out! You are on your way to explore this wonderful land called Australia. Did you know that this is the only country in the world that is also considered a continent? It is filled with wide open spaces, and some people live hundreds of miles from the nearest town. There are many fun and exciting things for us to learn about the place that is also called 'the land down under’. Come experience the richness of Australia. Actively learn about Aussie songs, foods, games, sports, stories, animals, facts, climate, and history. Begin to grow your own coral and make boomerangs. Learn about our Sister Girl Guides and what they do for fun.

March 2006 - Gold and Silver Award Ceremony Flowers - The Gold and Silver Award Ceremony with Girl Scouts of Mid-Continent Council is one of the most special and highly regarded ceremonies in which girls are recognized for their accomplishments. Here is your opportunity to recognize your special Gold Award or Silver Award honoree(s) and adviser with flowers on this special day!

December 2005 - Santa Letters - Do you know a certain person who’d love a letter from Santa this Christmas? It’s the must-have item for all Santa’s little helpers and children who’ve been naughty and nice! Santa Letters are perfect for those little people who are excited about the prospect of Santa coming down the chimney and eating the cookies which have been left out. Children just love receiving their own mail … especially from someone as magical as Santa! And, it will be postmarked from the North Pole!

October 2005 - Diva Do - What’s more fun for Junior Girl Scouts (or those Bridging Brownies) than “fussin’” with your hair, painting your nails, playing with make-up, and getting all “dolled” up? NOTHING! That is, unless it comes to earning a badge! Earn the Looking Your Best Junior Badge at this dynamite event! Join us for a super “smelley” time of “primpiness” on October 22, 2005. For your convenience, two sessions are available.
