Archie Comics, And Beyond! Learn About Archie And His Friends

Archie Andrews:

    Archie Andrews, whether he's begging Veronica for a date, or sitting in detention, is often times considered the all American teenager. In that fateful issue of Pep Comics #22, in the year of 1941, Archie Andrews was born. Slowly dominating the series (Pep Comics) completely, "Archie" became a household word by 1950. Archie, with almost sixty years of experience, never seems to learn. After all these years, he still spends the majority of his time chasing after Veronica, being chased after by Betty, and being hounded by Jughead for burgers. Although the plot never seems to change, Archie has amused, amazed, and surprised readers for over fifty years, and he's still going strong.

Betty Cooper:

    Betty Cooper, "the girl next door," appeared in the first panel of the first Archie story, in Pep Comics #22, 1941, together with Archie. It was love at first sight. Now, for nearly sixty years, Betty's one goal in life has been: Archie Andrews. Betty is the nicest girl you will ever meet, but the term "dumb blonde" definitely does not apply to her. On the contrary, the one person smarter than her at Riverdale High, is Dilton Doiley. Betty Cooper has beauty and  brains, but does Archie ever notice? No. . . He's more interested in:

Veronica Lodge:

    Veronica Lodge, daughter of Hiram Lodge, is Riverdale's teen socialite. She has a million dollar body, a multi-million dollar daddy, and a boyfriend named Archie Andrews. But don't think that she has time to play, no, she has to divide her time between dates, making dates, breaking dates, breaking hearts, shopping, spending time with her best friend, Betty Cooper, and occasionally, even homework! it's a never ending battle against time, but hey, somebody's gotta do it!

Forsythe "Jughead" P. Jones:

    Jughead Jones: too many burgers, too little time. Since 1941, Jughead has been Riverdale's chief girl-hater, chow hound, and abnormal fashion statement. His beanie is unique, unlike any beanie ever seen before by mankind, in fact, in the old series "Jughead's Time Police," the beanie is a time traveling device. Whether he's playing with his sister, Forsynthia "Jellybean" Jones, or consuming Pop Tate's hamburgers by the dozen, Jughead is always the odd one out. Ethel and his dog, Hot Dog, adore him. Archie and he are best friends. But, next to Hot Dog, his all time favorite companion is his hammock, which has been with him since the beginning. Even as Riverdale's all time moocher, Jughead is always calm, and has always seemed to be the most sensible member of Riverdale's teen community.
