Uruguay Recipe for Albondigas de Carne
Uruguayan Meatball Recipe!


Albondigas De Carne are a tasty Rustic-style meatball, enjoyed in soups, pastas or all by themselves!

 

Ingredients


1 lb minced beef
1 onion
2 tomatoes
1 pepper
1 garlic
parsley
3 or 4 slices of bread soaked in milk
2 huevos, pasas y aceitunas
flour
2 tablespoons of broth


1. Sautee onion, red bell pepper, and tomatoes. Season with salt, garlic and chopped parsley.

2. Add 1 tablespoon of this sauteed mixture to the beef. Add salt, pepper and nutmeg, the slices of bread soaked in milk, 2 eggs, raisins and olives.

3. Mix everything and form the meatballs with a bit of flour.

4. Return the meatballs to the sautee pan and add broth. Let the meatballs cook 30 minutes. Serve.
