I started my hobby as scanner user while volunteering with the Red Cross and Buckroe Beach Rescue Squad in Hampton, Va.
I've been a Ham for over 6 year and presently hold a "Coded" Tech License

I've held an Army MARS (ABA5VD) and 5th Air Force (KA5VD) call signs while stationed at Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan.
My Equipment consists of:

Yeasu FT-470 V/UHF Dual band HT
RF Concepts 2/70G preamp
Yeasu FT-901-DM HF Base Rig
