JOHN
My husband John was born in Mauritius and came to Australia in 1966 with his parents and sister. He is at the end of studying for his PHd (Human Computer Interaction) and will be finished within a month or two.

He is now employed at the TELSTRA RESEARCH LABORATORY in Clayton, Victoria.

John enjoys bike riding and has participated in a few of the Great Victorian Bike Rides. In 1988 he rode from Melbourne to Sydney! He is also very interested in Christian Meditation, camping, reading, walking and spending time with his family. He enjoys walking our dog's Oscar and  Poky along the beach, and around the streets in the suburbs. He enjoys travelling, whether it be overseas or traipsing around the countryside at the weekend, though he is not too keen on "digging" around the cemeteries with me!

In August and September (1999) we went to the UK. John attended a conference in Edinburgh and we spent quite a bit of extra time travelling through England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland. We spent time in Singapore, Maylasia and Thailand as well.

We have a Mitsubishi 4 x 4 Triton, with a "glide-on" camper that sits on the back for us to go camping.
We really enjoy this part of our lifestyle, the camper (or van) is packed at all times and all we have to do is decide in which direction we need to go when we pull out of our driveway! Many weekends are spent investigating areas around Melbourne and Victoria.
