Here's the happy ending story of Bob, Bubbles & Belle:

I've been meaning to write an email about my cat Bob who came from TLC in 2001.
My first cat Iggy showed up on my doorstep on the 4th of July around 1987. We tried to get rid of him, but he insisted in living here even though we had a ten year old German Shepherd mix named Kilo. Kilo lived to be sixteen years old. When he died I got my current dog Belle, an English Pointer from my neighbors who had been raising her to be a Field Trial dog. Now Belle is 10 years old and Iggy has died from rather advanced kidney failure.
So my neighbor was heading out to TLC to adopt a puppy who she named Bubbles. I went along when she went in, and I saw Bob in one of the cages and really liked him. Bob reached through the cage for me and we seemed to get along really well, but I couldn't adopt a cat that Saturday. I had to wait until the coming Tuesday. I was glad nobody had adopted him yet because I'm pretty sure that Bob was meant to be my cat.
Even though I'm told that Bob didn't come from a home with dogs, Bob has learned to get along with Belle very well. He's very well settled in by now and he's quite popular with anyone who's been over and seen him. He's a very friendly and intelligent animal.
Bob is also very athletic despite his weight of almost 20 Lbs. Bob has done things to demonstrate this such as knocking things off the top of the refrigerator. I've also watched him do amazing things like walking the length of a 6 foot 2 inches wide iron railing. That was quite startling considering the drop on the one side, and Bob's size. He also catches small balls of aluminum foil tossed anywhere remotely near him, with his paws. You can toss the balls way off to his side, or way over his head, and Bob can either catch them with his paws, or bat them down. This is quite amazing to watch.
My neighbor's puppy Bubbles has about grown to her full size by now and is doing very well. When she first showed up, my dog Belle treated her like she was her own puppy and Bubbles could walk under Belle. Now Bubbles has grown to be larger than Belle and I'm working on getting Bubbles to be more gentle with Belle because Belle has a difficult time with long unrestrained puppy games. Bubbles visits maybe 2 or 3 times a week and is largely responsible for Bob thinking Belle is cool, because Belle is much calmer than Bubbles.
If you go to Bob's website (yes, my cat has a website) and click on his picture on the right hand side, you'll see several pictures of Bob, one picture of Bob and Bubbles, and a couple pictures of Bob and Belle. There's also a link to Bob's own email address, but if you do email Bob, he might not answer in human English. Also, the keyboard isn't especially well suited for cats to operate, but your cat might understand what he wrote. Hard to say.

Pete Galati

With sorrow, we report here that Bubbles was hit and killed by a car. Pete told us that "Bubbles was just full of joy all the time, and she was my own dog Belle's best friend. If I hadn't gone along when they went to pick out Bubbles at TLC, I never would have found my cat Bob. I can't convey the sense of loss. Loosing Bubbles was tragic. She was a wonderful dog."
