Here's the happy ending story of Eddie (formerly Jack):

Dear TLC,

We adopted Eddie (formerly Jack) a week and a half ago (July 31, 2007). He is just perfect so far. He still acts very much like a puppy and likes to chew but we have gotten him bones and toys to chew on so that's not a problem. He didn't even know sit so we have been working a lot on obedience and he is a quick learner. We got him as a companion and playmate for our kids figuring our older dog (she's 12) wouldn't want to play with him too much. He has actually taken a couple of years off Squeakers (our other dog). She loves to chase him through the backyard and they play and wrestle. Eddie is fantastic with our kids too even the baby (she is only 4 months old and Eddie is gentle around her). He loves to play and so does my oldest daughter so I don't think he is ever bored; they wear each other out. I took him to our vet and he had the beginnings of kennel cough but that seems to be about gone now so I will be taking him in to be neutered as soon as I can get an appointment. I could just go on and on about how great Eddie has been, he is a little gentleman that sometimes gets a little hyper but he is very good natured and gentle and so sweet and he is quickly learning the rules of the house and has earned some freedom at night (he can come in the bedroom with us instead of staying in his crate). I have attached a picture, he is so curious it is hard to get a picture of him because he usually gets too close trying to figure out what I am doing it's very cute. Thank you for bringing this little man into our lives.

Sincerely,

The Welko Family
Update on Eddie:

Hello!

I thought I would give you another update on Eddie. I sent one about a week or 2 after we adopted him because he was great from the get go. We have now had him almost 10 months and he is still wonderful. My 5 year old daughter can walk him plus he and our 1 year old daughter have a special bond that started almost as soon as he came home with us. Not to mention almost everyone who meets him thinks he is adorable and fun.

I have included a picture of Eddie with Squeakers (our other dog) and our oldest daughter, Samantha.

Thank you very much for bringing Eddie into our lives.

Sincerely,
Kathy Welko
