Here's the happy ending story of Edith (formerly Dharma):

We adopted Edith in January of 2007; she is the second dog we have adopted from TLC. Edith (Formerly Dharma) is a Beagle and we were told she was dropped off at the shelter because her owners did not think they had enough time for her. We were looking to add to our family because our other dog, Isabel, is really social and loving. I feel that humans no matter how loving can not take the place of the companionship dogs feel with each other. I really believe in the mission of TLC and knew we could open our home to at least one more homeless dog. My philosophy is with two dogs you just double the love you get. We saw her picture online and went in with Isabel to meet her. The pair seemed friendly but relatively indifferent to each other. We took Edith home that day and the pair have been good friends since.

Edith has been a wonderful addition to our clan. We love her and it is difficult to imagine either dog without the other. We love to spoil both dogs, Edith loves sitting and giving you her paw for treats. She also likes to steal toys from Isabel and growl at horses. Edith also loves the dog park and we can't wait until the Homer Glen location opens. I would like her original family to know that Edith is happy and very loved.

I have attached two pictures (one of Isabel and Edith) and one of Edith by herself.
