Here's the happy ending story of Frank, formerly Niko:
My friend Bill came in two weeks ago, February 1, casually looking for a dog or a cat. He's never owned a cat but was instantly attracted to a rather shy new arrival...Niko, a Bengal. After playing with him (and thinking hard), he decided to adopt him. The staff there were wonderfully helpful....the man who processed the papers even giving Bill a litter box, toys and food. Niko who is now known as Frank seemed to adapt immediately. He explored the house for hours, only stopping for pets and a drink of water. Bill has become a preferred customer at PetSmart and PetCo with all the toys, food, treats, gadgets, brushes, etc. he has bought for Frank. He has built him a stool, so he can lay at the window and look out. If Frank wants to wake up at 3:30 am and talk to Bill and knead him, it's okay. He seemed to have an upset stomach, so Bill took him to the vet who found an intestinal infection which is being treated. Frank puts up with the medicine with great courtesy.
Please know that Bill is delighted with the "little man" and Frank doesn't seem to have any complaints, either.
P.S. Forgot to say he also bought "Cats for Dummies" and read it cover to cover. He now quotes cat care hints at ME!
