In Loving Memory of Gypsy:
In Nov 2006 I adopted a pet from TLC her name was Gypsy she was a sweet old beagle that came from the Clay County animal shelter. Like Spider [a three-legged dog helped by TLC] they did not want to bring her up here unless it was for sure she was going to be adopted. She was the nicest, sweetest, little dog that anyone could ask for I gave lots of love clean water a beautiful yard to walk in a warm house she was so grateful for just these simple things she taught me what the true meaning of life really is. A week ago I had to say good bye to a very special little girl Thank you Gypsy for all you taught me.

Please don't be fearful of adopting a pet you will not regret it.

Here is the original story about Gypsy:

Wanted: a home for Gypsy

Gypsy is a sweet old female beagle in need of a loving home.

Gypsy's owner was sick and unable to care for Gypsy and her friend Casper, a middle aged male beagle. The family brought the two to Clay County Humane Society in Brazil,Indiana, and wanted them euthanized. The people at Clay County just couldn't do it. They felt that Gypsy & Casper deserved a chance to find a new home.

In Clay County, the chances for Gypsy & Casper weren't good. The adoption rate there is very low, and many young animals never find a loving home, let alone middle aged & senior dogs.

At TLC we felt we could find a home for Casper without too much difficulty. He was transported here and adopted within a few days of arriving. We want to help Gypsy as well, but we do not want to put her through the stress of a transport unless we know there are people out there interested in possibly adopting her. We know she will make someone a wonderful pet if only given half a chance. (We aren't miracle workers but since we get more hits on our website maybe someone out there would see her and like her).

Gypsy is so sweet, and it shows in her face. She is about 11 years old. Gypsy would make a wonderful companion for an elderly person, and a perfect friend. Please consider giving Gypsy a home to live out her golden years.
