Here's the happy ending story of Merle:
On Friday September 29, my wife and I saw Merle's litter listed on the website. On my way down from Evanston, I picked my wife up from work downtown, and we headed to TLC. We called ahead because we were running late and wouldn't make it by closing time. Luckily, management held the shelter open for us. And we were able to adopt our Merle! He's about 6-months old now, and he is the best dog we have ever known. He is one loved little guy. We are sending a couple of pictures: one that was on our Christmas card (age 4 months) and one taken today. Merle is quite the traveler - he has already visited five states, including Illinois, Indiana, Colorado, Texas, and Louisiana. Thanks, TLC. Keep up the good work.
