Here's the Happy Ending story of Princess:
Dear TLC Animal Shelter:
I love your organization! I got my dog, Princess, on Friday, October 28, 2005 from your shelter. She's an Australian Shepherd who was a Hurricane Katrina evacuee. She is the greatest thing that's ever happened to me, and because of my joyous ball of fluff, I appreciate TLC Animal Shelter.
To know that you won't give up on a dog is so nice. I also like how you let the families looking at dogs take a certain dog out to the yard and walk them around. I remember when I first took Princess out and how much fun I had. That day, we took Princess home, and ever since then, I have loved my dog.
One year, I was on the school newspaper. I decided to write an article about you. The newspaper decided to start a collection and I delivered a check for all the donations the students at our school gave.
I think you take really good care of the animals. I was looking at the cats one day when my family came, and I thought they all looked so happy. They had plenty of food, water, and a small toy or two. The dogs also look happy, and they have a lot of room to walk around in their cages. I watched a bunny hop around in his cage, and he looked as if he was perfectly happy. From what I've seen, you take good care of your animals. After we took my dog home, once she got used to us, she was perfect!
I admire your dedication to getting these animals homes. I want to work with animals when I grow up and I hope to be as successful as you seem to be. I love your shelter, mostly because I got my own dog there, and she is absolutely wonderful! I want to thank you for doing such a good job each day in the shelter. Every experience I have had with the shelter is a great experience.
I hope you have a very happy holiday, and I hope that some animals can enjoy a Christmas with a family. I know my dog is going to enjoy her third Christmas!
