Here's the happy ending story of Rocco:

We would like to thank TLC for helping us in the adoption of our newest family member, "Rocco".

We have been going to TLC every Saturday, for a few months, looking for that special dog we could connect with. As we were looking at the new arrivals, we saw a small puppy, about 8 weeks old. We asked the staff what his name was, and they said he was just brought in the day before by the postman, who found this little guy wandering about, and he didn't have a name yet. So, after about 10 minutes deliberation (heh), we decided to adopt the small, cuddly pit-bull mix, now known as "Rocco".

Rocco is doing fine his new home. He has Nico, our 2 year old son to play with, and most of the time we have to keep our son from biting the dog! Rocco also has Tammy, our 10 year old daughter, to play with, and to cuddle with on the couch during those very rare quiet times.

I would also like to add, as something I believe pertinent to our story, and to those of the thousands of pit-bulls, pit-bull mixes, and other bully-breeds that are languishing in shelters: Please don't fall for the 'hype' of the way pit-bulls are portrayed in the media, especially after the tragedy that happened in Cary, IL. this year. As with all breeds, they just need attention, love and security. A pit-bull, in its strive to please it's owner, will do just about anything to accomplish that fact. Training is a must, and the foundation of a rock solid temperament, that will be enjoyed by all.

Thank you all,

Jeff, Tina, Tammy, and Nico.
