In Loving Memory of Thunder

RIP May 2006 - October 4th 2008

We adopted Thunder July 6th 2006 from TLC. He was a very special boy. When we adopted Thunder we all thought he was a German Shepard/ Rot but needless to say when Thunder had his 7 month check up we were told he was a different mix. Thunder ended up being a German Shepard Cattle dog mixed with some chow because he had a blue tongue. Thunder then received a new name... We now called him Thunder Herman aka Hermie or nippy... Thunder got the nickname nippy because he always would chase his brother nipping at his butt.. (His brother is a pit bull and his colors made him look like a cow ha ha.)

He loved his car rides; at first Thunder was afraid to stick his head out the window. It took him until he was 2 years old to realize that it was awesome. This little trouble maker loved chewing on the corner of the couches and curtains when his mommy and daddy were not around...

He had a short rough life. He was afraid of men and would hide behind his mommy at all times. Thunder appeared to be abused as a puppy and had a hematoma on top of his head which somehow he re-injured and had to have it drained a couple of times. His skin was always so dry that when he scratched his sides he made himself bleed. Then he had to be shaved until it healed. And last at 2 years and 5 months he developed a bad case of epilepsy which is what ended his life. His seizures were so bad and so close that he forgot everything he ever saw, learned, lived and so on. We knew about the epilepsy for a few hours before he went to heaven.

Thunder was a great puppy and is missed dearly.
