Here's the happy ending story of Traveler:
Dear TLC,
One cold and dreary February Tim and I were out for a drive. We happened to drive into the Lockport area (we're from Shorewood!). I was telling him all about the area, I used to live there, and mentioned TLC Animal Shelter. We decided to stop in just to look at the animals to lift our spirits. That day, February 4, 2006 Traveler came to your shelter from a remote shelter in Indiana. He looked so lonely. We asked to take him out to play with him and decided to give him a home.
We kept his original name because it fit him. He "traveled" to you and we "traveled" to him. Traveler needed medical attention when we got him. He had an all over body rash and terrible congestion. It took two months of antibiotics to give him a clean bill of health. Now he's very healthy and happy. He brings a lot of joy to Tim, our two daughters, our two cats (Tom and Jerry) and myself. Recently we got Traveler a friend, we brought into our home a Golden Retriever puppy and he just loves her to pieces. Traveler and Princess Leia are two of a kind, full of energy, love and loads of fun.
