Here's the happy ending story of Zinger & Lily (formerly CJ):
We adopted Zinger a couple months ago, and Lily just a month ago, and they
are fabulous!
Zinger is a black and white domestic shorthair with excess personality. He loves to slop in water - to the point that he'll sit in the empty bathtub and meow until one puts water in the tub for him. He comes running if he hears the freezer door open - he loves an ice cube in his water dish to play with. When he is not napping, he is in constant motion - unless he is sitting in the window making "nic, nic" noises and clicking his teeth at the birds at the feeder. He loves playing with his cat toys, and will get them out of his toybox himself. His favorite time of day to play is about 2 AM, however. To get his humans' attention at that hour, he licks their faces. Because of this habbit, we went back to TLC to find him a friend who could play at 2 AM without complaint.
Lily (previously called "CJ"), a blue siamese mix, is that friend. She is
not as playful, nosy, or silly as Zinger and often resents his playful
moods, but she does get involved in boys-chase-girls and girls-chase-boys
games in the night thus saving the human household members from being waked
every night for playtime. She is more reserved and tends to hide when the
household children are home from school. But if one is sitting down, there
is little she likes better than to sit on someone's lap and be petted.
