8th Annual Student/Faculty Game Benefits Lemont Food Pantries The 2005 Old Quarry Middle School (OQMS) Student/Faculty Basketball Game on Friday, April 8 provided family fun and entertainment for all ages. Science teacher Laura Hawk-Rickerson did another fabulous job organizing this event. OQMS staff and students prove to be a continual example of the talents within our schools. Some of the night's highlights included: student cheerleading squads, dance team, faculty cheerleaders, OQMS choir and, of course, our athletes. The exciting game ended in a tie score. The admittance donations brought in $1,600 for the Lemont Food Pantries. Generous donations were also given to benefit our local TLC Animal Shelter in Homer Township. Casey Marie Rinke, head referee, thanks everyone for supporting her "pet project." The $300 donation will help support her animal friends while they await new homes. Thanks are also extended to the many local businesses that provided gifts and prizes for the evening's festivities. Casey & Diann: Diann (left) and Casey Marie Rinke, head referee.
