During the early years of the twentieth century there raged a great war on the European
Continent. This great conflict brought into battle, the greatest armies of the world.
On one side were the allies, Great Britain, France and others. And on the other side was Germany. The German Army, built on many years of Honor , Courage and Commitment, was
considered the best in the world. They brought with them their dogs of war. The German
Shepherds, Doberman Pinschers and others, including their Boxers.
The Allies, even with their great armies could not defeat the Germans. Help for the Allies came from the west. This new army brought with them a different type of soldier.
These new soldiers were different. Their ranks were built on Honor, Courage and Commitment. These new soldiers were trained to fight on the land, on the sea and in the air. These new
soldiers were United States Marines. These Marines met the German Army in great battles. So
ferocious were these Marines, that the Germans called them Teufelshunde or Devil Dogs. To these Marines, this was the ultimate show of respect. What better name from the army that knew best and respected most the value of war dogs?
"Semper Fidelis" or "Always Faithful" is the official motto of the United States Marine Corps. Faithful to what? Faithful to God, Corps and Country with a vow to never dishonor
either. Any time two U.S. Marines past or present, young or old, meet they greet each other with a hearty "Semper Fi Marine" because there is no such thing as an Ex-Marine.
It is out of respect to the Germans who gave us this wonderful breed and to our illustrious Corps that has many times protected the rights that we enjoy in this country, that we will always faithfully strive to breed, raise and train Boxers that meet the high standards passed down to us by those who came before us.
