THE LINDA HUGHES HISER HOME PAGE

FAMILY GENEALOGY

GEOCITES IS CLOSING THIS WEBSITE ON OCTOBER 26

I am migrating it to Yahoo and the new Linda Hughes Hiser Family Genealogy Home Page can be found at: http://lindahiser.com/

Welcome to my home page. I can see this will be a life long project! For your convenience there is a surname list as well as an alphabetized listing of every name added to date. This is only a small portion of my current databases. If you connect, or think you do, please contact me at my e-mail address. Currently, I am working daily adding names and records to my ancestry pages. I have a blog called FLIPSIDE which is primarily genealogy related.

DESCENDANTS OF JACOB AND ANNA MARGARET KIBLER VANGILDER BOOK

I am one of four researchers from the West Virginia VanGilder line who are in the process of compiling the FIRST complete listing of the family. If you connect with Jacob and Anna Margaret Kibler VanGilder of the Monongalia/Marion County, West Virginia area from 1800 to present day, please e-mail me. I have the database on my computer and will check to see if we have your line.

AND NOW THE KUDOS....

A special THANK YOU and LOVE to my family--husband, Ted, and sons, Aric and Garrett. They have had to endure late dinners, burnt dinners, and sometimes no dinner! A house that never seems to be really clean, and endless hours of surfing on the net. All this for the sake of family research.

Also deserving a BIG THANK YOU is my Hughes Family--my Dad, George VanGilder Hughes; my Mom, Martha Stark Hughes; and my two brothers, Ken and Jeff. They have all tromped across cemeteries, repaired tombstones, allowed me to pick their brains, and given me support on this search. My aunt, Faith Hughes Roolf, has unearthed numerous personal treasures and photos of the family which she has shared or given to me. “Cousin” Kae Wallace Billik has also donated old photos as well as remembering family history dating back into the late 1800’s.

AND, finally, the United Kingdom support group, Heather, cousin Roy and his "Mam" who have added our Hartlepool, England roots.
