I don't actually know if the 'other' son of Philip and Mary was the oldest. But I remember hearing about a custom that the oldest son would stay in the 'old country' to keep the family lands. So I decided to list him as the oldest. 

John Steel married Hannah Atkinson and they had 8 children in England. One of their sons was named Marmaduke. They had 5 more children in Canada.
