The page all about me!

(lol-- this needs a serious update!! I will do it soon 02/2005)

July 2003 ALERT I think I am going insane... But this is not news.... This pages changes so much... b/c I can never make up my flippin' mind. But I will give an update a try....

I am finishing up that distance ed course... the one I said would take 2 months... yeah, I am using all 8 to do it. I found out it will save me lots of $$$ to attend a law school down south. And even more to move down a year early and become a resident. SOOOOOOO at the end of summer I am moving back to Louisiana --to Baton Rouge!!!!
I can't wait to leave PA... so sick of it. What a crappy year we had here... I will let you know how it goes what day I am moving etc...

I am adding a section to this page called "Daily Rantings", it is necessary for my sanity believe me. If I do not vent my eyes will pop out and my head will explode!

Ok, now go through the page and read about me...

You gotta have some tunes!!

Here is "Africa" by Toto. Me and my friend Naomi used to sing it all the time but we could never figure out all the words, it's more fun that way.

My name is Jenny and I was born on October 28th, 1975. I lived in Pennsylvania until I was 17. The summer before my Senior year in High School I went to Army Basic Training at Ft. Leonardwood, MO. That year back was rough, I hated still being in school --such an attitude! After graduation (1994) I switched to Active Duty and I went to Ft Sam Houston, San Antonio, Tx. What a blast that was!!!!! I was in X-ray school there and did Phase 2 of my training in Washington DC at Walter Reed, that was in 95. After that I was stationed in Louisiana at Ft Polk, Leesville.

I had my son in November 1996 and left the Army in 97 (dumb move, I miss it). So I came back here in 97 and what a blur that has all been. First it sucks to move a 2 bedroom apt, back into my 1 bedroom at my parents house. I did the unemployement thing for 3 months then landed a sweet job at UPS. That was my favorite job ever. I loved it there. BUT After Christmas the hours dropped and a better paying job with more hours at the local Hospital opened up. This was JAN 1998.

At the same time I started college at Penn State's Du Bois Campus. My major back then was Pre-med. The job at DRMC sucked, there was more politics and back stabbing there than at any job I have ever had. In August I quit. I attended college thru the summer and fall of 98. That Christmas season I worked at the Calendar Kiosk for Walden Books. At that time I was kicking around an Anthropology Major AND of all my school choices I am most disappointed that I did not stick with that. Instead I switched to Speech Pathology and Audiology (Communication Sciences and Disorders --to be technical).

How are you doing? Are you keeping up?
This came about when my son was being Diagnosed with Autism and I got to see a few SLP's in action and liked what they did. I went to PSU's main campus in the Spring of 99. Then suddenly I realized how much cheaper it would be if I swiched to Clarion University. I could live at home and save money, and borrow less for tuition. (Little did I realize I was giving up a quality education --not to say all my Clarion Prof's have been bad --some have been very good. But I guess I am more research oriented, which is good for PSU). So I switched to Clarion. That summer I took time off and worked at Clearfield hospital --much nicer than DRMC. That job was just for the summer so that fall I worked for Subway in DuBois --OH MY GOD, that job was hilarious. I hope to write about one day. I had a crappy boss, rediculous co-workers and no desire to quit for a while, because I wanted to see just how awful it would get there. I did finally quit in Jan or Feb of 2000.

I also worked at Clearfield hospital again last year into this January (2002). I started Clarion the Fall of 99 and have been there ever since. Where if you noticed how much I move around, that fact my shock you. And it does shock me. I need to be moving along, if I am somewhere more than 2 years I start to lose my sanity --which is what is happening right now.

I only have to finish 1, 2 month distance ed class to finish my B.S. in Com Dis, but I gave up on that career and planed on law school. --After a year off, of course.

And that is the history, the top of this page has the update.

This is my son Gavin. To learn more about him click on his picture. He will turn 9 on November 8th, 2005. In this picture he is 18 months old. He is now 53" inches tall and 62 pounds. He was born in Louisiana. Gavin loves his country music! If he is fussing just turn on CMT and he turns into a dancing fool.
He has quit talking and we are waiting for him to start again. (But we do not know if that will happen. Gavin is Autisic. Go to his page for links to Autism sites.) (UPDATE: Gavin started talking again!!!! Summer of 2002. He said Cookie! Now he doesn't stop :)
