My Loving Savior
by Barbara Philbrook

I have this loving Savior, I know for sure that this is true,
and if you will ask him he will become your Savior too.

You see the plan was made even before creation began,
that's when it was decided that Jesus would be born in the form of man.

God knew that man would fall to sin the price of which was death,
that sin was committed by the very first man into which God put his breath.

And each and every one of us is also guilty of sin,
and here is where the most precious story of love does begin.

Life on this earth is just for a while,
there's another life that will be lived in the grandest style.

This other life about which we may read in God's word,
is filled with love and joy far greater than we have ever heard.

Jesus left that wonderful place where he lived with God in Glory,
and in so doing took the first step in the salvation story.

Jesus lived a sinless life as he taught others the true meaning of love,
he never sinned or caused any regrets to his Father above.

He healed the sick and caused the blind to see,
but more important he taught us that we are to trust in God totally.

He taught us that God is the source of all that we need,
and that if we will just learn to rely on him we too will succeed.

We were shown that we are never tempted beyond what we can bear,
and that whenever we find ourselves in need of his assurance he is always there.

We learned we must treat others as we would like to be treated,
and that anyone who calls on Jesus will not be defeated.

We are to share with anyone who will listen to us tell the story,
all about Jesus and how he came from Glory.

There's  the part of the story that for me is the hardest to tell,
and that is the part where if they don't accept Jesus they'll end up with Satan not for a short spell!

But for all who will accept and ask Jesus into their heart,
there  comes the most glorious and exciting part.

I get to tell how Jesus took on the sins of the world,
and how the plan of salvation was fully unfurled.

You see Jesus died that You and I might live with them in Eternity,
and it's a gift he gives to us completly free.

All that you must do in order this gift  to receive,
is call on God and tell him that you believe.

Now accepting Jesus does not mean that life here will be gloriously easy,
no as a matter of fact this will upset Satan and he's really sleazy.

But that's not any thing about which we have to fear,
because even though we can't see him our God is near.

So come along and join our family,
and we'll all go home to be with God for Eternity !!
