Make Me A Vessel
by Barbara Philbrook

Lord make me a vessel fill me with as much of your love as you can,
and when there is a need tip me over to pour it on my fellow man.

Do whatever it takes to make me strong enough to hold,
and yet willing always to do as I am told.

Shape me in a way that  my contents can freely flow to another,
let me always recognize each thirsting sister or brother.

Father you are the Potter and I am but the clay,
please make me into a useful vessel you can use in some way.

So many with a thirst so many bound for Hell,
fill me up Lord fill me from the Living Well.

Then when you perceive a need in my fellow man,
tip me to pour over them all that>you can.

When my earthly chores are over and I am welcomed Home,
may there be a multitude with me not left behind alone.

All because they heard your loving story,
all coming to give you the Honor and Glory.
