Mother's Day Without You
by Barbara Philbrook

Mother's Day without you just won't be the same,
but you're with the Lord now Praise His Holy Name.

I know I should be happy because you are there,
but Mama I sometimes give into despair.

My reasoning is selfish I want you here with me,
I tend to forget we'll be together for eternity.

I don't stop to think of what it's like for you,
that you are seeing things more beautiful than I could ever view.

That there is no sickness pain or sorrow there,
that there isn't anything to cause the slightest care.

That you are with other loved ones who passed on before,
why they were all waiting right by Heaven's door.

And I forget I have all of my memories of our precious past,
and no matter the time span they will forever last.

I can close my eyes and see the precious smile on your face,
and nothing can steal that not even time or space.

Mother's Day is special that is very true,
but Mama everyday was special while I had you.

Now I shall determine deep within my heart,
from this day forward I'll not think of us apart.

As long as I have my memories you are here with me,
and soon we'll be together for all eternity.
